jspider, you make a good point about Scarywood. I know that's been a huge undertaking for the park since Aftershock, and for sure qualifies as a major addition. But in terms of additions for the summer crowd, they've added two slides to the water park and five rides to the theme park (all of which, except for Spin Cycle, are all small kiddie rides). That's all great, and every addition is a good thing. But as of next year, Aftershock will be 10 years old. That's not a lot of expansion in 10 years. I'm just hoping we'll see something bigger soon. Going back to SoCalCoaster's earlier rumor about Silverwood being the first park to get Raptor Track....looks like that's not the case as Six Flags Fiesta Texas just announced they'll be the first park to get one. And it looks awesome! I hope Silverwood is still in line to get one of these!! Actually, that's not true. Six Flags Fiesta Texas was simply the first park to announce that are getting a Raptor. They did not say that their's would be the first to open. There is a difference. Keep in mind that SFFT still has to remove an entire attraction before they can start construction. There are rumors that one of the Cedar Fair parks, CGA or Knott's, will also be getting a Raptor. Both parks have already begun construction on their respective plots of land. CGA is in the clearing process and Knott's has got theirs graded and ready to go. CF announces their new rides on August 16. If either park breaks ground on a Raptor by September then it will open long before the one at SFFT. I predict SFFT simply wanted to get their news out first to create buzz. No way it become the first.

Land is also being cleared behind corkscrew. Not sure if it's a red herring, but it would be pretty exciting to get a new coaster next season. As it was just confirmed in the Scarywood thread, that land clearing behind Corkscrew is for a new haunt currently being built for Scarywood. So coaster-wise it's a red herring.

Well, here we are just weeks away from opening day, and once again "all is quiet on the western front" it would seem. Another year with nothing new. I gotta wonder...are they "saving up" for something big? Or are they just not focusing on expanding for the time being? Only new addition in the past four (summer) seasons is the mat racer slides...not even a new flat ride or kiddie ride.
I did notice they are cancelling the annual fireworks show. I never saw it, but still a bummer for those who enjoyed it.

I was hoping that for this year Sikverwood woukd have had a new coaster especially since I will be visiting this year as well.
I hope they get a group RMC of some type. I'd love it to be a wood coaster that is ground up attraction.

I hope its a Chance Hyper GT-X like Lightening Run at Kentucky Kingdom.
A wild mouse or spinner would be good too.
An RMC ground up would be the best I think, TT and Tremors are too good to put IBOX on.
