Silverwood has been clearing a lot of land out near the runway and the park has been promising something big is on the horizon. What is the chance that RMC is going to build their single rail T-rex concept coaster at Silverwood? RMC needs to build a prototype somewhere and Silverwood is literally right in their backyard. Plus Silverwood needs a new centerpiece attraction. RMC could give Silverwood a discount on the cost or they could partner up. RMC T rex single rail concept

It's tough to predict what might happen. On the one hand, you are right, RMC is so close, and they already have a good working relationship with the park. And Silverwood is overdue for a new coaster, so why not use the hands-down best coaster manufacturer out there, which just so happens to be based right down the road? They could really put Silverwood on the map and turn the park from "i'll visit if i'm ever up that way" to "got to get there NOW".
On the other hand, Silverwood is still a (relatively) small regional park, and they haven't ever really done anything to demand nationwide attention or crowds. I also have to wonder about another wooden coaster. While I love the RMC coasters, Silverwood has several other niches they need to fill such as a mouse type coaster, dark ride, a hyper coaster, a couple of additional modern flat rides, even a giant ferris wheel. It seems like another wooden coaster - even something as amazing as a prototype RMC ride - would be slightly redundant.
I'm just glad to see the park keep adding new attractions each year - shows that they are committed to growth and expansion.

I agree they don't need another woodie. Two is enough for any park. As for a new coaster are there any used hypers on the marker? What about a new Chance hyper? I know it was used but how much did Aftershock cost? What about Timber Terror and tremors? My feeling is Silverwood will never move beyond being a regional park until they spend the money on something unique. Sure it's in the middle of the midwest but Holiday World used to be a small regional park until they started spending money.

Aftershock is a unique situation. Six Flags desperately wanted to get rid of the ride and sold it for much less than an attraction of that size might be sold. Based on Gary Norton's book, Aftershock was only about $1.1 Million. Granted, the park's spent a ton of money to keep it running throughout its life at the park. Spin Cycle (and Barnstormer) was $2.2 Million I believe, but I can't find that source again.

Holiday World used to be a small regional park until they started spending money.This. I think Silverwood could do some amazing things if they found the right investors (this is key and they must hold out until this happens) and went for it. On the other hand though, it's a long way from much of anything as far as large populations go, so they would have to heavily market outside their area and hope people are willing to travel. Even Indiana has more people within a reasonable day's drive than out there in Idaho. I don't blame them for holding off, and due to that fact I don't see them becoming a large regional park or even doing something major like the mentioned concept (is this just a rumor or is there info suggesting they are building a full concept somewhere?), I doubt we'll see it happen. Oh well, I enjoy it as it is now, without huge crowds and everything that comes with larger parks

When it comes to the chances a T-Rex coaster coming at the park, at the moment I'm going to say zip. ziltch. nada. Maybe much, much farther in the future, but that concept from RMC didn't come around till a good couple years after RMC mentioned they have a project planned for Silverwood. Chances are it's gonna' be a wooden coaster.
Also, I personally wouldn't even think of saying they don't need another woodie, or that it would be slightly redundant. In case you haven't noticed, the only custom coasters in the park right now are the woodies. An' I definitely don't see the next one being a stock/off the shelf model, especially if it's from RMC. Speaking of RMC, they've been making the cream of the crop when it comes to coasters. Woodies that have honestly been outdoing the current crop of steel coasters that have been coming out. Whatever they got in mind for SW, it's going to turn heads and be a stellar headliner. An' with it being different then Timber Terror and Tremors, it would not come off as redundant. (Redundant is having three dumbo spinners (the exact same ride) in the same park like WDW's Magic Kingdom with Dumbo, Aladdin's Flying Carpets and Astro Orbiter.)
Now as for other rides the park needs, a couple more family attractions would be appreciated. A dark ride would also be welcome. (Hopefully from a good company, personally not something from Triotech since I've yet to be a fan of anything they've put out.). I could also see something like a mine train type of coaster from Vekoma doing quite well. Ultimately a big family coaster with a height requirement of 40-42" would be fantastic. Any family coaster with a height requirement over 42" would be a blunder, since the min for bigger coasters such as Timber Terror and Tremors is 42". An' I've seen other parks have that issue where the smaller/less intense family coaster has a taller height requirement then coasters far bigger/intense then them.

Well, there's not a lot of difference between Red Baron, Helicopters, Puppy-Go-Round, and Elephants, but that's besides the point... I know the park is working very hard to keep a balance between massive expenditures and maintaining the quality of the rest of the park and employees. There are tons of things that go on throughout the season and off season that all get very expensive quickly, but have to be done either for safety reasons or to maintain a standard that the owners expect. There are a lot of things they're trying to do for employees (including a drawing for a new car at the end of the season). I'm hoping that now that large portions of the park that have been in desperate need of attention have been updated we'll start to see some bigger new headlining attractions. Personally, as far as new rides, I'd like to see something with a 36" height requirement. Or at least 36" to ride with an adult. Thunder Canyon is the only thing that really qualifies as a mildly thrilling family attraction, and there are lots of people who don't want to get soaked. Something like the Flying Eagles that Cedar Fair keeps adding in their parks.

Agreed 100% - have you seen a POV of Storm Chaser yet? Oh god it looks amazing. I hope Silverwood sprang for the I-box instead of another woodie; those coasters have been major hits for Six Flags and other customers, and really I JUST WANT TO RIDE ONE OMG!!!! Really though I don't see it happening, but topper track has almost as much potential and I also love woodies. I'm wondering if either type, or anything with the rumored RMC and SW deal, will happen anytime soon though- wouldn't we be seeing or hearing something by now if it was even next year? 2018 is a long way off... edit; comeagain you are a genius, if Silverwood gets a set of flyers I totally know who to give credit to. That would be perfect, even better get TWO SETS for higher capacity!!

Don't alter them, just retrack them, like Great Coasters is doing to GhostRider.
