wow the new ticket booths look great! . I'm curious how this is going to end up changing the dynamics of entering the park? Arn't the new gates more centered around the pizza area and less around the mainstreet area? It seems like they could put in another railroad crossing or something? I dunno maybe a way to walk to coaster alley without crossing the tracks? It seems like the old entrance plaza and carousel area are going to end up in an odd place now. I probably just need to go there to visualize this myself.

I think the new entrance is very good. I think Lindy's may now be torn down and rebuilt twice the size or at the very least get a major remodel.

I think Silverwood will begin to build a new ice palace/show building late this summer.
I think with all the improvements that Silverwood is making you have to wonder if Gary Norton is trying to lure a potential buyer for the park that has been quietly on the market for the last ten years.

That'd be interesting I suppose it would add back to the family entertainment. I wouldn't mind seeing general theming and layout improvements made to the park. I'd hate to see Silverwood become part of a franchise though. I like the unique feel that the park has.

Nothing to base this on, but I would guess as long as Gary Norton is alive, Silverwood will be family owned. Once he is no longer invovled, who knows. You just don't see too many family parks left these days, unfortunately. Those that stay family-owned sure do have a different (better) feel to them.
Sure, becoming part of a corporate chain can give you more $$$, but they end up all the same - attracting the wrong type of crowds, neglecting the little things that always made them special, becoming generic and bland. Once they go down that path, rarely do they ever come back to their roots.
Hopefully it's something we never have to worry about from our little Northwest Theme Park gem.

The new ticket booth and the ramp/underground tunnel look great! Same for the new bathrooms near Aftershock.
As for the new enterance, I'll agree with RCA's speculation that it'll lead into a larger courtyard to Lindy's/Main Street etc. On the last picture on page two, I'm guessing all those posts are where you'll enter. As for the large building right next to it, it could be one of those shops which are usually near a parks exit. That's my guess, though we'll have to wait and see.
Either way, it's all looking quite nice and it's certainly needed since the park will be growing. Don't know when or where, I just have a feeling it'll be happening soon.

So I recently rode the new B&M Wing coaster at SFGA - X Flight. Wow. These coasters are amazing. I'd go so far as to say this is the best ride experience out there.
Silverwood should save up and install one. If Dollywood can do it, surely they can too...

How do you rate that compared to 4th dimension coasters? I have never been a big fan of X at SFMM - too jerky, painful, and disorienting. Are the Wing Coasters different?

Skiinyguy, smooth as glass. I've never liked X either. But this was a totally different experience. If you are in the front row outside edge on one of these, it really does feel like you are just flying in the air - far more than even the B&M flyers I've been on. I enjoyed NOT flipping about like on X - I actually could keep track of where I was, what I was doing, etc. Made for a much better experience.
If someone can create a longer version of one of these, it just may be my favorite inverting steel coaster of all time. The only gripe I had with X Flight was that it was a bit too short.
