I don't know weather to be dissapointed or not till I figure out what they'll actually be adding in the next two years.
Entrance changes sound nifty but I dunno how it'd effect guest experience. I wonder if they'll just add smaller rides for a bit longer. For me its scarywood that'll keep me coming back in the forseeable future.

^ I'd say wait till we actually know what the park is getting, kinda hard to be dissapointed for something we currently have no idea what's comming. In other news, the park has posted it's 2012 schedule and prices. www.silverwoodthemepark.com/schedule.phpwww.silverwoodthemepark.com/prices.phpA very noticable thing on the schedule is the dates and hours for Scarywood. As always, dates and times are subject to change, however at the moment both dates and times have been extended. Last year the event ran for 11 days (every Friday and Saturday, and a couple Thursdays.) This year it's currently scheduled for 14 days, starting on the 5th and running every Wed-Sat until the 27th. (No Halloween yet.) As for times, they've been extended a extra hour. With Wed./Thurs. running from 6:30pm-11pm, and every Fri./Sat. running from 7pm-1am.

true true, I'm just impatient and like big surprises I like it when a park a bit closer to me gets new things and all. The longer Hours to Scarywood are definitely a plus but I'm still going to wait and see how offerings shape up before I decided weather or not to make a trip all the way down to Idaho again. Several of my friends were very impressed with this last Scarywood and want to make it into a tradition

Can't blame you on that, we all like it when the park get new attractions.
On a related note to Scarywood, nice videos Jspider! I'd say you and your friend were thoroughly ambushed in Terror Canyon. XD ("Watch out for the holes that are open and stuff cause things jump out of them. You never know when. *pause* OH GOSH THERE'S HOLES EVERYWHERE!")
Finally, some news on the updates to the front gate. On Layne Pitcher's (Marketing and Communications Manger) twitter, he recently tweeted that the front gate is getting a major renovation with new structures and a new courtyard.

haha thanks, its the first time I've ever recorded anything at a theme park. I tend to bring the camcorder then forget about it when I go to events until its all over. My biggest regret is not recording the first year actually. For some reason immortalizing Scary Jerry appeals to me but the event is probably my favorite thing to do for Halloween . I have a few more clips that I'm not sure what to do with yet. Maybe make a review video or something. I have the end of Mind Warp (forgot to record the whole thing but I started recording at the tunnel). and about half of Blood Bayou were I was asked to turn my camera off. So I'm not sure if the park wants videos posted or not and if its for spoiler reasons I'm inclined to just go with their wishes cause blood bayou is freakin awesome! Major renovation sounds great to me actually. It'd make sense to shape up the entrance a bit as the park grows. The parks getting better looking all the time and I wouldn't mind a bit of Disney style cutting off the outside world if they can manage it. I wonder if they'll move the carousel?

Anyone been over to Silverwood to take pictures recently? I haven't been able to drive over that way but I am curious as to any new changes with the front gate.

The front gate looks pretty sweet. I noticed there was also a new building being erected in the Aftershock courtyard. The construction of the interchange at Brunner Rd. is also fast taking shape.

This from their Facebook page:
"Right now it looks like the new ticketing building should be done as well as the new ticket taking entrance to the park. We are also planning on building a new storefront and bathrooms that will hopefully be finished mid-season sometime. By the end, it should be an amazingly beautiful addition to the park."
Sounds great to me - at this point I'm wondering if this is their focus for this year, since we haven't heard any rumors or announcements of anything else new for 2012.
