While the park has surprised us before with announcements, I'd say their focus for this year is the upgrades to the entrance/lengthening the tunnel for the highway expansion/general park upgrades etc.
As for new attractions, I'd also say the only new ones for this year will be for Scarywood.

I went out to Silverwood today with my kids. I took some pictures and I am uploading them right now. 23% done. I will post them later. Should I post them here or in a new thread?
BTW, there is a ton of construction going on out there. It is amazing to see and really makes you wonder what the end product will be like. From what I saw it looks like the parking lot is being completely redone, the tunnel is extended, an overpass to the south with another overpass further south near the lumber mill. A road going east of the parking lot could be many things but probably is highway exit and entrance. A new building between Aftershock and Timber Terror is being erected. They will need to work hard and fast to have the park ready in time for opening.

Looking at the park's facebook, it seems like the parking/entrance will be ready in time for opening. While the new bathrooms and storefront in the park will be done about mid-season.
Either way, it certainly looks like the area is quite busy. Kinda amusing seeing the RV parking sign on the ground like that.

Thanks for all the photos Voodoobones!
After seeing them I can certainly say the park's focus for this year is this, any possible new attraction will be for Scarywood.
I will admit it'll be strange seeing a overpass near the park, but it's something that's needed with how busy the area get's. The overpass also throws in a monkey wrench on the possibility of the park expanding south, so chances are they'll be expanding into the airstrip.

Thanks Wolfblood! It was my pleasure to head over there took take the photos. I took my boys and on the back we stopped at the park in Rathdrum and had a great time playing.
I agree that the park is limited to expand to the south. I wonder how much they own to the north? They could push out to the strip and then north a bit. Those houses might not last where they are on the other side of the strip.

With opening day about 2 weeks away, does anyone have any updated pics of the construction? I'm sure the freeway/overpass project will continue for some time, but the new restrooms building by Aftershock and the rumored new entrance to the park would be nice to see. Anyone? Anyone?.....

Haven't seen any updates at the moment, though I do recall seeing a while ago on the parks facebook that the new restrooms/storefont would be finished mid-season (Keep in mind that was posted before Voodoobones PTR, so things could have changed.)
In other news, the Rocky Mountain Coaster rumor has surfaced again. Due to news reports we know for sure it's not happening in 2013. (The new coaster is at Silver Dollar City, and the other coaster project is in Six Flags Fiesta Texas.)
However, Screamscape has recently posted this.
Rumor - (4/25/12) Screamscape sources tell us that the proposed Rocky Mountain Coaster project for Silverwood will be delayed for at least a year or two, so don’t look for it until 2014 or 2015.
Naturally, it's still just a rumor. Though with a delay, it does give them possible time to add in family attractions etc.

I would think Silverwood would be a good place to put a custom Rocky Mountain Coaster at. I would visit Silverwood again for that, well I would visit Silverwood again anyway.
