The website recently put up the general rules and warnings for the attractions, and the one for 3-Dementia reveals something rather interesting.
"This haunt uses strobe lights, fog effects and vertigo inducing elements "
I think I know what will be causing the vertigo effects, especially considering one of the effects/rooms I suggested in a email to update Mind Warp does cause a freaky vertigo effect. Would be pretty cool to see if the park implimented it in the attraction.

interesting, sounds like it will be alot more intense then Mindwarp. Did I recommend strobes for Mindwarp at the start of this thread? I forgot lol. More effects and disorientation is great. It'll all add up and make the attraction more repeatable.
I don't know what you recommended but couldn't the final tunnel room be vertigo inducing in itself? That thing made me pretty wonky every time I went through it. Sounds great whatever it ends up being. I'm hoping 3Dementia can be the star of this event. And of course that the new scare zone can really bring some movement and intensity to the coaster area.

Actually, looking up the defination of Vertigo...it's probably the vortex tunnel. (I got Vertigo confused with anything dealing with heights, which is what the room I recommended deals with.)

Scarywood 2012 has now begun. I wish Happy Hauntings to all of the Scarywood Scareactors and Good Screams to all the victims...I mean guests visiting. ;D

I thought it begins tomorrow? at least thats how the website has it. I know their facebook updated with the announcement yesterday.
I'd love for someone to do an update or at least spoiler me slightly with what kind of attraction 3Dementia is. I'm always curious about the new things and I like knowing which parts I should anticipate the most. At the same time I don't like being overspoilered I don't want to know every twist and turn lol

^ I'm guessing what's going on tonight is the Employee Preview, so that technically would make it the start of Scarywood.

this makes sense. When is everyone going to the event this year? I'm curious if I'll see anyone post before I head there. Normally I go at the last weekend of the event but I'm probably going to end up visiting closer to midmonth this time.

Unfortunately it doesn't look like I'll be able to attend this year, but there's always hope! Also, the park recently put up a photo of the attractions entrances. 3-Dementia is confirmed to have a facade, and while it's not what I expected...it's still pretty impressive due to it's size! http://instagram.com/p/QaFbQdMZlR

wow just the presence of a facade itself makes it look a ton better then quite a few of the other attractions. Is it going to be indoors or just have the facade and high walls? The more sets the better in my opinion haha My fear has been that 3Dementia ends up being a moderately spiffed up Mindwarp but the more new and different things added to it the better.

I'm going this coming weekend - we always go the second weekend of the event. Gives them time to work out the kinks, and is early enough that the crowds are a little better so we can get everything in one night.
Pretty excited for this year and I too hope that 3Dementia is miles ahead of Mind Warp. I'm at least glad that it's in a different area of the park, which should help spread people out more.
