News: Gore Galore will return and may have full creative control.
Rumor: There will be five themed haunts; three "houses" (the train, former ice palace and Thunder Canyon) and possibly two themed scare zones.

Good to hear G.G. will return, it'll be interesting to see what comes up next for the event. As for the rumors, I can totally see that happening...especially since the park is big enough for multiple scare zones. Though it will be interesting to see what's changed in the houses, we know the Train has certainly been different for both years and Terror Canyon having a few changes here and there. As for Blood Bayou, well have to wait and see. On the parks website, they've already posted the prices for the event. Apparently it's different depending on the day you go. www.silverwoodthemepark.com/events-deals-fl.phpThursdays- $24.99 (Gate Price) / $19.99 (E-Ticket Price) Fridays- $29.99 (G.P) / $24.99 (E-T. P) Saturdays- $34.99 (G.P) / $29.99 (E-T. P)

what would Gore Galore having full creative control mean for the event exactly? I loved the event last year it was just perfect. Would full creative control mean even more props and effects? I think the effects were probably the strongest point to the mazes though the whole event was just pulled off perfectly.

Thursday closed at ten last year Friday was twelve and Saturday had a scheduled closure of 12 but often would stay open a little later.

I think the effects were probably the strongest point to the mazes though the whole event was just pulled off perfectly. Full creative control would mean they would be in charge of all haunts (Nick Norton directed Zombie Wood Express) and be involved in the staffing and full storyline of the event while Silverwood would be focused on the marketing and promotion of the event.

Anyone heard anything more about the topper track for Tremors? Haven't heard any reports or seen any pictures of that actually getting installed.

^I haven't heard a single thing about it since it was reported at IAAPA, so I wonder if it was delayed or didn't end up happening, or if the park just isn't saying anything? Kind of strange regardless, because you'd think there'd be something out there about it...
As for Scarywood, I hope they continue to expand it this year, and I'll say it again - turn the log flume into a haunt - it was my favorite haunt at Knott's the time I went there, and I think with all the wooded areas that the Silverwood log ride goes through, there are just way too many cool things they could do with that. So, that's what I think they need to do with the event next.

BREAKING NEWS: Gore Galore will not return for Scarywood 2011. Kevin e-mailed me and said that Nick Norton will be theming this years event.
This is a big blow to the potential of Scarywood and I am truly sad. I think in the next week or so I might rant on how cheap of an owner Gary Norton is.

Before you rant make sure you have all the facts. We don't know the whole story and for all we know Nick might do an outstanding job. Who knows, he might bring in some great talent and really impress us all.

so does this mean no blood bayou this year? or blood bayou styled maze?
Who owned all the props in Blood Bayou?
Hopefully they can at least match next year? I'd hate to see Silverwood fall back to the quality they had on their first year.
