Wow, then I believe Silverwood will be doing a first for any Halloween attraction. Putting a maze in a terrain rapids ride.
It should be interesting to see how big it'll be, since if they use the whole course (minus the lift hill no-one thankfully experiences) , it's going to be a BIG maze.

Also I have hear rumors that they are working on a new Halloween themed magic show in a newly decorated Theater of Illusion! Welcome to the boards. If this is true, I am VERY excited, especially if it is Nick Norton doing the show. He's already Vegas-calliber with his regular show...and quite a performer. I can imagine he'd do an INCREDIBLE job with a Halloween-based show.

Well the website updated again, this time they are letting us know that the Haunted Attraction Tickets are limited and you can purchase them in advance. www.silverwoodthemepark.com/scarywood-night.phpThey also show what attractions will be open on Saturday Nights. Oh yes, looking at the calender the park will close at 10PM on Saturdays. After 6:30pm on Satudays the following Silverwood rides will remain open until close: Tremors Roller Coaster, Timber Terror Roller Coaster, Panic Plunge, The Sky Diver, Roaring Creek Log Flume, Tilt-A-Whirl, The Trabant, The Corkscrew Roller Coaster, The Scrambler, The Round-up, The Ferris Wheel and Krazy Kars. Aftershock closed in October. I will admit that I'm not surprised Aftershock will be closed, there are certain coasters (including big ones like from B&M) that cannot operate under certain low temperatures. Though I'll also admit it's a little nutty for them to have the log flume operating, while you don't very wet without the water cannon...let's face it, it can still get rather cold.

I know I won't be riding the log flume in October! It's bad enough being wet at night time in the summer. BRRRRRRRR!
I'm looking forward to this!

The log flume I WILL ride in October, IF the water cannon is off. (I'm not a fan of the cannon on this ride anyway...to me log flumes are about a little splash, not getting drenched).
Aftershock being down is a bummer, but not a surprise. But there will be loads of people who don't realize this going into the park and complain, I bet.
Basically sounds like all the other "big kid" rides will be up and running. I wonder if the Main Street Theater will show the Garfield Halloween special? Or maybe just some good scary movies?
This is gonna be great...

It would be cool if they ran some old scary silent movie like Nosferatu or maybe something a bit later like The House On Haunted Hill.

Got another update, you can now purchase tickets for the event online. home.silverwoodthemepark.com/Scarywood/One more thing, the term "Halloween Haunt" has been replaced by "Haunted Nights". I'm not entirely surprised since I found out Cedar Fair has a trademark on "Halloween Haunt".

Well Silverwood just updated their Facebook to reveal a little bit more on what to expect at Scarywood.
"Oh yeah! We will be taking a 3 mile long haunted train ride on the MidFRIGHT Express with & a haunted trail through Terror Canyon both of which will have you screaming and jumping to your hearts content. The haunts will include effects such at explosions, flying ghouls, being attacked by creatures in the woods and trail as well as professional voice actors to get you in the scared out of your pants mood. Not to mention Scare zones throughout the park and the chance to ride all your favorite rides in the dark...so yeah there is allot more to come. End comment with evil laughing!"
Let's see now,
Explosions- Probably in the MidFRIGHT Express Flying Ghouls- Looking at SW's website, MidFRIGHT will have these. It could be a simple prop, or an actual scare.
Scare Zones- I am really excited for this, scare zones can be really fun. WildWaves used to have one, but it was a one time only thing since you could only experience it after you went through the house. Chances are, the ones SW will have will be like Universal's or Knott's where you can go through as much as you want.
I am also happy to say I have a confirmed date on when I'm going to attend, my Mom and I will be there on the 3rd...aka Opening Night. I will be sure to take plenty of pics of what I can, while we don't have all the details...this is looking to be very big for the park.
