Interested in what everyone thinks the park should do. Nancy mentioned in the interview that they were looking into three potential options for 2007. Interested in what she means by "hanging" roller coaster...that could mean either an inverted coaster (i.e. Batman the Ride, Montu, Top Gun, etc.) or a flying coaster (i.e. Tatsu, Stealth, X-Flight, etc.). Personally, I'd like to see either the family slide or the coaster. I'm not all too crazy about wave pools. They're fun and all, but not as fun as I think a new slide or a coaster would be. And I'd obvioulsy take the coaster for my first pick. But either of the two would make me happy.
I liked this interview better than last years interview. The questions were answered a lot more directly, and I liked how she was able to explain more clearly what the park's direction is for the future. Very cool that she gave some specific details about the next few years.

Yeah; just what exactly does the "hanging" coaster mean?
Could be inverted, suspended (doubtful), flying, and with the different manufacturers, it could be a number of different styles, layouts, etc.
Recognizing the relatively limited budget of Silverwood, I'd have to say that it's probably and off-the-shelf Vekoma Invertigo. Those are nice rides, so that wouldn't be a bad thing. I wonder where they'd put it...I'd like to see it along the back of the park by the picnic pavilion.

here's a thought: a "hanging coaster", whatever that is, is gonna be lots more money than either a new wave pool or a family tube slide. so its probably the least likely.
i see them doing something to the water park next. i dont see a new coaster for quite a few years unfortunately................

i thought it was a great interview and would like to tell RCA they did a good job. I know personally how hard it is to track Nancy down during the summer.
You guys did a good job.
Im also looking forward to next year, it sounds like they have alot planned.

Good point styvx. A coaster of any type is going to cost loads more than any water park attraction. Still, if what Nancy says is true, Silverwood is beating their targeted attendance numbers yet again, and they may end up with some cash to spend on such a coaster.
My favorite thing about this interview is the talk of the hotels. A great idea to be sure. They could really fix up main street if they added a hotel. Maybe add another restaurant or two, and a couple more shops for people to spend time in after hours.
Very cool news...

I saw on a TV Show about an Arrow Dynamics ArrowBatic where it has 2 Seat Cars and 2 Cars for a total of 4 People and does in line twists and 90 Degree drops and they have been trying to sell it to someone however it might have been canceled when Arrow was purchased by S&S

Welcome to the boards Justin. I've seen that Arrow coaster...nice ride if you ask me. But I don't see Silverwood doing this. I see them more with a typical Vekoma SLC...small footprint, nothing fancy or custom made, etc. See below...

An idea is a Zamperla Volare small flying Coaster i think it will work because they are cheap and would be unique to the region. do you know how marketable a flying coaster would be in Idaho!

^ Unfortunately, I think a flying coaster would be very marketable. I say unfortunately, because I don't see them getting a B&M or even a Vekoma flyer. Personally, I'd rather see an SLC than some odd ball flying coaster. Of course, I'd rather see them follow in the steps of another small but even more succesfull park - Holiday World - and hire Gravity Group to add another world class woodie to there collection. Silverwood will probably never be able to afford a high end steel coaster so why settle for second class when you can afford to put in another world class woodie. Holliday World and Mt. Olympus are proof you can be a huge success without a steel coaster.
Just my 2 cents.

Well, I think it's obvious that Silverwood already proved it can be a successful park without steel coasters...but it would still be sweet if they put one in. I'm personally pretty burnt out on wooden coasters...I hate to say it, but I'm especially getting burnt out on Tremors and TT....they're great rides, don't get me wrong, they just don't excite me like they used to. I think it'd be worth Silverwood's time to put in a good steel.
I do agree though, that it should be a good one, not a second class one. I'm not a fan of the "cookie cutter" steel coasters out there like Bud mentioned. They're nice, but nothing compared to a B&M or Vekoma custom.
