My first memorable experience at Silverwood was my first visit in 1999 when Tremors opened. When we came upon the park and I saw both coasters, my eyes bugged out. I was completely awe struck. After we got camp set up across from Silverwood, it was dark by then, and I curiously wandered over to Timber Terror to scope it out. This was the first time I had been that close to a wooden coaster let alone a "real" coaster in the Northwest. I walked along the fence for about an hour scheming photo ideas and what the ride would be like. The next day I saw Tremors and chills ran up my spine every time the train would roar down the first drop into the tunnel through the gift shop. I learned later that fearful locals would call this "the bomb". Throughout the day, I got some good pictures and a wonderful shot of both coasters at sunset with both trains running. So, my scoping out the night before was beneficial.
The next memorable visit was at CAC last September. I met some neat folks and enjoyed both morning, afternoon and of course night rides on the two woodies. I thought both coasters were running much faster than the last time I visited which was in 2003. The trains did not hesitate at all when they crested over the first drop and the rides were just faster. I had never ridden Tremors at night before so ERT at night was a treat for me. That was the best ERT I have ever experienced with ANY coaster club!
Prior to my first visit in 1999, in the Spring of 1984, I had learned about Silverwood while attending college at Eastern University in Cheney. I recall seeing the park on the news and the handful of flat rides that were scattered around a lake. In 1986, I was in Spokane and saw a huge billboard for a new Log Flume attraction. I then wanted to go to Silverwood but my mom didn't think it was worth the drive. I said to myself, "Oh well, it's not like they have a real wooden coaster". A few years later when I found out about Grizzly/Timber Terror from a friend and the Internet, I ate my own words. Now I am thankful and happy that there are two world class wooden coasters in the Northwest. A dream of mine that has come true.

2005 was the first year I have been to Silverwood. I have been a roller coaster lover my whole life and finally got a chance to take my family to Silverwood to check out there 2 world class woodies. I was expecting Tremors to be good and I wasn't disapointed. What surprised me was how good Timber Terror was. AIR TIME. It was a great day in early May and we had many rides on both woodies as it was not too busy.
My most memorable trip came in late September however when I attended Coaster Alley Convergence with a good friend of mine. We had a blast. Tremors is insane at night (out of the woodies I have been on only Ghost Rider is better) and Timber Terror smoothed out nicely with the cooler air. A great event overall. My only complaint with the coasters is that they only have one train which I can't for the life of me understand. Other than that, Silverwood is a great park and I will be back for more visits in 06.

I'd have to say CAC 2005 was my most memorable of all my trips to Silverwood. The park was so empty, and it was great to finally meet a lot of other enthusiasts we had emailed but not met before. Most of all though, the ERT was one of the coolest things I've ever done. I really enjoyed being able to ride those coasters so much. Only bad part was that the food didn't quite settle well with me, and combining an unsettled stomach with 2 nonstop hours of coasters was a dangerous mix! I was not feeling too well on the way home to say the least. But it was worth it! And I'd do it again. But that was just a really fun day and I'll always remember it. I hope to get to do it again sometime.
