The magic show with Nick Norton is always a delight, and a highlight of our trips to Silverwood each summer, and now Scarywood as well. For me I love the opportunity to relax in a nice restaurant atmosphere, and enjoy something to eat and drink while getting out of the summer heat, or the cool fall weather during Scarywood. My son Hunter became a huge magic fan 4 years ago, and upon seeing Nick Norton he was hooked on learning magic! In the summer of 2009 we went to see the magic show, and my son expressed a desire to be the child that Nick brings up on the stage to be an assistant. My son has a learning disability, a hearing loss, and is very, very shy. I approached one of the waitresses and explained how very much he wanted to participate and was there anyway she could help. What a delight it was to have her give me a hug, and say don't worry let me see what I can do! As Hunter and I enjoyed pizza and pop, I looked up to see Nick Norton looking down at us from a window above the restaurant and wave!! When the show began, he came up to Hunter with the spotlight on the both of them and invited him up onstage!! To make a long story short, it was the highlight of my son's summer. Afterwards Nick signed an ace of spades card to Hunter, and taught him a couple of magic tricks. He took the time for my son and for that I am so grateful. Since then Hunter has been practicing magic, and has become so good he has been hired to perform at a couple of children's birthday parties, and has opened up and become a more outgoing young man. I am so grateful to the waitress who took the time to help me out, and for Nick Norton to care so much about my son. It was life changing!!
