You might not make a return trip for the frog hopper but for the people that do go, they might stay longer because junior is having more fun now. It does mean a lot for families when you are trying to have fun with the little ones.
I just wish they would incorporate a ride that is fun for the whole family not just for the older kids or for the younger ones.

Agree with skinnyguy. The park had a long stretch of adding major new attractions almost every year through 2008. No, I don't expect that to continue. But to go three years without something big or even "mid-sized" is a major disappointment, especially when the park keeps boasting about its "best year ever" and "highest attendance figures ever", etc. I can take my 5 year old to the mall to ride a frog hopper. I don't need to make a return trip to Silverwood for that. Topper track is great but it is not a new ride by any stretch. I hope they still have an ace up their sleeve - even if just a new flat ride. I dunno, this last year Scarywood finally felt like a big addition in its own right (unlike the years prior), was REALLY professional and just can't say enough good things about it. That said I do see the need to add more to improve the general run and feel of the park overall. Seems the park is really going to have alot of structural concerns to consider before really blowing out with a big expansion. If they can't do a darkride or anything I think they need to consider perhaps a boat ride of some sort. Even building a bigger log flume could work. Families love flume rides and doing something new and exciting there could please alot of people. (of course it wouldn't add much to their Scarywood event but oh well). Also adding perhaps a bigger scenery based ride might be cool even if it were something like a more elaborate version of the antique cars.

not that this would happen but i wouldnt mind them adding like a ropes course. or something to do with facing fears such as height. dark. trust.
that was off topic however. scarywood scared the heck out of me than the year prior than this last one. timber terror backwords just about killed me . . .me bein the kid who doesnt like holding on just about grab the wheels to stay on sittin in the very back. it would be nice for a flat ride thats imported and quite dynamic with height and flips and what not. i feel they need to add more "upside down" rides .
better yet to cause more attention stay open later and or have a weekly all nighter 24 hour teenscream or something.
alot of random things. but what do you guys think?

^I don't think the ropes course thing would be a bad thing, but I can't see that happening, and I don't know that I'd be really excited about it...
Re: Jspider - I think your ideas about a bigger log flume or a more expansive version of the antique cars would be great. Those are things that everyone in the family can do - young and old. And that is the are that Silverwood is lacking in the most. Personally I'd like to see something new, as opposed to an expanded version of something already there, but those ideas are right on track, IMO.

Its definitely going to be a chess game choosing any kind of large design going forward.
While I don't expect Silverwood to do any kind of large expansion like Disney, the idea of a second log flume were they can eventually phase out the current one wouldn't be too bad.
I don't know that I'd recommend it right away but it might be something to consider for when they finally start expanding the barriers of the park.
A Log Flume works not only as a family ride but it also goes over well with most thrill seekers in ways that even more extreme flat rides won't work. If they open a new log flume in a new region of the park it ought to draw people to that area and then they can close down the existing flume ride and use the space to expand the children's area or perhaps add a more mellow child friendly boat ride.
On the boat ride side I've heard talk of there being some kind of mellow boat ride type were you can shoot at targets with water guns or something? I'm not completely sure I think they added it to a legoland or six flags? Might be worth investigating. Statues or scenery could also work (Garfield?). Slow moving boat ride is great for family but tricky to do without coming off as too simple and boring.
I'd LOVE to see a darkride or even a walkthrough attraction eventually hit the park.
Course a walkthrough might be tricky to install since you have to look out for vandalism :\ (I'd love go suggest a design to the park though).
A large Flume ride could really pack people into a new area (I think the flume was what made the park originally?)
I wish Silverwood would do a small program to add tiny details to spiff up the theming of the park a bit. Maybe little historical markers for some fictional history to the park. Changing the coaster county into a quake themed area? (might as well two of the rides match the theme)

Hmmm, the thing that's been posted on facebook and twitter is this.
"Coming soon another NEW major attraction announcement for the 2011 season! Any guesses folks?"
While I've been saying that chances are any more news for attractions is the Topper Track upgrade for Tremors, I will admit I'm being thrown for a loop since it's a "New major attraction announcement".
I'm going to guess it's a new attraction for Boulder Beach, especially since someone on FB mentioned that during Scarywood they noticed some dirt was being moved around in BB.
Now if BB is getting a new waterslide, then my hat's off to SW for keeping it secret for this long.
