Thanks for the info!
Not sure what I think about this just yet, since these things were such mechanical nightmares (valleying, etc.).
Glad they're getting a new ride, though!

WOAH! Now I did not see this comming at all.
When it comes to the ride itself, I have to say this type of ride has had it's fair share of mechanical nightmares in just about any location it was put in. (However the one in Spain I have heard no problems with it.)
But, I do trust SW in the matinence department so it might not be a pain to operate.
That and I have heard good things from the people who have been on it so I will be more then excited to head back to the park hopefully this Summer.

Eek! The boards are abuzz! Well, whether or not this turns out to be true (I've not seen anything confirming it, but we all remember how long the California Adventure rumors were floating around before they came true, don't we?!), I've got to say it is going to be both a blessing and a curse for Silverwood. Here's why: 1) Blessing in that the ride is great fun. I've been on two of these and they are awesome. Thrilling. The whole nine yards. Also a blessing because it adds another MUCH needed coaster to Silverwood earlier than I would have suspected. 2) Curse in that the rides (at least the two I've been on) are prone to breaking down ALL the time. Also a curse in that they have VERY low capacity. I mean, you think Tremors and TT are bad; you have no idea. And this one is going to draw all the lines. We're talking HOURS of waiting. I'd say overall its a wash. Though I tilt positive due to the fact that, hey, it's another coaster. It's better than nothing. Now, do I really believe this? I don't know. It could be but I can't imagine SW adding another huge anything this fast after the boulder beach expansion.

Oh yes, I forgot to add one more thing. While the parks did have mechanical nightmares when it first opened, they have been behaving from what I've been hearing at MM and Great America.
As for the capacity, while the lines can be long...they won't be as bad as when they were in the Six Flags parks.

Sorry but I'm not buying it just yet. Hopefully I will be proved wrong though.
I am of the same opinion as Bud. And let me just add again to what Bud already said. VERY, VERY, VERY, low capacity ride. I don't care if you have Disney trained ops.
It is thrilling, but IMO, one of the most painful coasters I have ever been on.
They ARE a maintanace nightmare. Even the one in Spain has had its share of down-time. They will have there hands full with this coaster.
Having said all that, I still hope I am proved wrong and it will actually be coming to SW. It is unlike anything most of the GP who visit SW have ever seen.

Wow, I posted this before I went to work, got home and there were 6 replies. To the best of my knowledge, this seems legit. It was posted on the Silverwood Employee Website (which happens to be open to the public?) by the Current Rides Manager. Also, the “Déjà Vu” is shutdown for good at the park it's currently at (I found tribute videos to it on youtube). I've been told this last season for Silverwood was the best ever, and they don't want to slow down the growth by not adding anything. I'm still slightly skeptical, but I think it's the real thing. I guess we'll all see next year. As for the ride itself, I've only been on one Inverted coaster ("BAT" at Lagoon), and it sucked. However, Déjà Vu is 4 times taller and over twice as fast, and actually does some cool things, so It can only be better. 191 feet will tower over all other structures in the park, and that will be cool.

While a official announcement hasn't been made yet, I did find something that might semi-confirm it. I found the company's website that is selling the Deja Vu's and if you look at the link, while they had two for sale...one of them is left for sale so someone has the other. www.irmpri.com/product.htm

I would just also like to add that I went on the one at Six Flags Over Georgia two months ago and it was up and down all day long. We finally got a ride on it at the very end of the day. This was after standing in line several times only to have the thing keep breaking down. People were getting pissed. I suppose I've got a longer tolerance than others, due to the fact that it's just "one more credit I must get". However, it's not a crowd pleaser when it breaks down every 45 minutes all day long. Most of those who finally did get to ride it simply responded: "that was NOT worth it". No surprise that they are removing the ride as we speak. With Silverwood already having major capacity issues with only one train on Timber Terror and Tremors, this type of ride wouldn't help. I think it would do two things: 1) Brand Silverwood as a place where "all you do is wait in line" (Tremors, TT, Panic Plunge, Thunder Canyon, and now this). 2) Convince the average NW theme park guest that all steel coasters are uncomfortable. Which is not true, but all they will really have to compare to is Corkscrew, Wild Thing and now Deja Vu. Three similar coasters with OTSR's and very short ride cycles. All that said, I stick to my original post: getting Deja Vu is still better than getting nothing.
