^ Although I personally would love to see another woodie at Silverwood, I agree that a spining coaster would be a great addition. I rode my first one at Waldameer Park this last May ( RCDB Picture) and it was a LOT of fun. It would be a great family style roller coaster that adults would thoroughly enjoy.

After heading to the park last weekend, I had a chance to think more about this question. I think in addition to adding a second train to both wooden coasters, I'd get rid of the water cannon on the log flume. While I think this is a very unique feature, it just doesn't seem to fit on that ride. On an extremely hot day, it's nice to be able to cool off I guess, but I'd just as soon go on thunder canyon if I want to get wet. With some log flumes (ie Splash Mountain), I know I could easily come off the ride completely drenched, but with smaller log flumes like Timber Mountain at Knotts, and Silverwood's log flume, I go on it for a nice, relaxing ride...not to get soaked. I know I might get a little wet, but certainly not soaked.
I think the water cannon is a great idea for thunder canyon...you're already going to get wet. Again, it just doesn't seem to fit with Silverwood's log flume.

OK, after much research, the Intamin pre-fabbed track for their woodies has got to be the best choice. I mean, why didn't someone think of this YEARS ago!?!?!?!?!

^Which coasters have this on them? I had never even heard of this, so I just looked it up on wikipedia. It said that three wooden coasters already are using it. It sounds like a good idea for all three CCI woodies that I've ridden (Tremors, TT, and Ghostrider) as they are all becoming almost too rough to enjoy IMHO.

El Toro is the only one in America. The other two are in Europe. Colossus at Heide park in Germany was the first. Balder at Liseberg in Sweden was the second and arguably the best wooden coaster in the world if you talk to the few people in the US that have been on it. If you want to go over to ThemeParkReview.com and register to their forums, they have an excellent video of Liseberg that features Balder with a complete POV of the ride. It is in the "Exclusive Content for Registered Cool People" section. There are also a LOT of other really good videos from various places Robb and Elissa have been to in that forum. Go here for some good footage of El Toro.

I wonder, does Intamin have a patent on this or can anyone do it? It seems that skinnyguy is right on...imagine how many old woodies could be brought back to their former glory with this modification.
Now if they could only somehow incorporate this idea on Revolution...

If only they could incorporate that idea into a lot of "old" rides! So, kind of off topic from the "prefab track" discussion, I was looking up info on the Vekoma Booster Bike coaster that the Screamscape guy keeps mentioning in his DL posts. I'd heard of this ride but never seen it, but I think something like this would be perfect for Silverwood. As far as I can tell, no one in the US has one (the only ones I found were over in Europe). It would be a very unique ride to the area and to the country in general and they totally look like something the entire family could ride. The reviews I read said the coasters were very fun, though not too terribly intense. Here's some images of what looks like the original "Booster Bike" coaster in the Netherlands: www.coastersandmore.de/rides/bb/bbmain.shtmlMore pictures and a review: www.s104638357.websitehome.co.uk/html/boosterbike_main.htmGoing right along with either a Wild Mouse or a Spinner, I think a Vekoma Booster Bike coaster would be a great next addition to the park.

Hmmm...I'd say Silverwood could use a darkride or two to balance things out. A Vekoma Madhouse would seem pretty good next to the magic theater.
As for coasters, A Maurer Sohne Spinning or Gerstlaur Bobsled coaster would be good choices.
If they do put in a Inverted coaster I would love it to be a B&M of course, though done up like one of the Old School B&M's. (Nemises, Dueling Dragons)
For the next wooden coaster, anything from a Intamin Pre-fab track! (Balder or El Toro anyone?)
Now since this subject was brought up in the beginning of the thread, I am actually on the oppisite for a second train on Timber Terror or Tremors.
The reason why is because first, where is the room for a transfer track on either coaster? Two, I can picture some stacking due to the lengths of both coasters.
Oh yeah, a annual Halloween event would be great once the Hotel is built.

^Both coasters have plenty of room for tranfer track and there would be no more stacking issues than any of the other woodies out there that are 3,000 feet or shorter, that run two trains, which almost all of them do.
Other than that, I agree with everything else you said. Although I cannot imagine Silverwood ever spending the 15 to 20 million or so it would cost to build a B&M Invert.

Welcome to the RCA boards, wolfblood!
I'm going with Skylark on this one - Timberhawk at Wild Waves is an even shorter coaster than TT. When I visited Wild Waves a few months ago, there literally were hardly any people in line at all. They were letting people stay on the train if no one was in line for your row - that's how thin the crowds were.
Despite all this, they still had both trains going, and there were no stacking problems IMHO. While one train was out on the ride, they could easily load and get everything ready in enough time to make the other train wait maybe a minute at most - usually they were ready to just send it off when the other train arrived. So, considering all this, I see no excuse for not having a second train.
But, I do like your other ideas - especially the halloween event. While the weather may be a bit cold, I still think they could open most rides, and it would be a huge draw to the area. But I also agree that it would be better for them to have a hotel first before doing anything like that.
Speaking of...what ever happened to that Christmas idea they were going to do?
