I think it's time to retire the train show and just have it be a tour of the park. The show has been tired for many years and this current show was pretty bland. The only positive thing Silverwood has done with the show is add more theming and give it a little Native flavor. I realize that the donations go to charity and that's great, but if that isn't enough to save it from the chopping block IMHO.
I would replace the train robbery show with an outlaw show on Main Street that would get the audience more involved, generate more interest in the shops and it would breathe fresh life into the old west robbery concept.

The train show is ok in my opinion, Knotts Berry Farm has had a train robbery for at least 30 years. It would be cool if they built something back in the woods where passengers could get off the train and spend an hour or so, and then get back on the train. Maybe a cool obstacle course kind of thing for kids.

^I agree with everything said. I think the train robbery is pretty old at this point (all the jokes on the train were barely even funny the first time, let alone the tenth). I've always been a little uncomfortable with how they ask for money on the train, too, though I do think it definitely goes to a good cause. Sometimes I just feel like if I don't put anything in the bag they give you a dirty look. But maybe that's just my own conscience!!! I love the idea of doing a robbery show on Main Street - they do a western show in Fronteirland at Disneyland, and I think something along those lines would be awesome. That's just a great idea! And I've said for years now that I thought it would be cool if they added a second train station out in the woods where there were some rides and shops people could go to and spend some time. Think of how cool a B&M flyer would be back there going through the trees...

I say keep the train robbery; it is part of the experience. But it wouldn't hurt to have a few different variations of the robbery so that it is not quite so redundant.

We go to Silverwood every summer, and have always loved the train ride. I tend to agree with the others that yes the train robbery has become redundant, and some variations on it are needed as the other posts have suggested. However, for first timers to the park the whole show is a fun experience. To keep both the old customers, and new customers, all happy I think it would be good to switch it up some and offer the ride at different times and name the show that will go on during that hour that you ride the train. That way if you have experienced the train robbery one too many times, you would have an opportunity to see something new!!
