Was at the park on 8/5 and 8/6. Rather than a full-blown TR, here are my observations.
The good: -They continue to add lots of landscaping to the park and it looks great. I don't know the motivation behind this, but keep it up. -The recording on the train was fine to me. I liked it. But I never really cared much for the live person. -Nick Norton's new show was great. This guy is absolutely fantastic. Even if you're like me and normally don't go to shows at theme parks, DO NOT MISS THIS SHOW.
The bad: -Tremors is getting pretty rough. Especially out of that second tunnel. -The new security bag check is in a HORRIBLE location which blocks up the tunnel and slows everything way down. Bad decision. -The crowds overall are getting pretty busy. And I wasn't there on a weekend. Weekdays are starting to feel as busy as weekends used to be. -The park feels a bit stale without adding anything new for 2 years (not counting Scarywood). It is time for something new - a new flat or a dark ride or junior coaster. -THE TWO WOODEN COASTERS NEED TWO TRAINS.
Great trip overall. I'm happy to see the park doing so well and the crowds prove it. Hopefully they will funnel some of that money back into new rides.
