Great TR Skinnyguy. Sounds like the crowds were a bit bigger this weekend than when I went. I take it they still had no corndogs? When I spoke to the ride op for Tremors she said that it was way too expensive to rig Tremors to go backwards and very difficult at that. So it sounds like, at least judging by the ride op, that Tremors will remain forward.

^Thanks! Yeah, it was pretty busy, but the only thing we waited a long time for was Blood Bayou. Terror canyon was about 15 minutes, and we waited for one train cycle for Zombiewood Express. We did Timber Terror first and it was basically a walk on, and I didn't see how it was later in the evening. And, from what I noticed, there were no corndogs. But I didn't look too closely at the food selections because we ate before we went into the park.
I really think Tremors backwards would be too much. I could be wrong, but I think that ride is already way too rough and miserable forwards - it's aged poorly, which is unfortunate (it used to be one of my favorite coasters). I think backwards would just be way too intense, rough, and painful. So, I think it's good that they are saying it's too expensive - leave Tremors forward and put that cash towards improving other parts of Scarywood.

I went back again this past Saturday. The lesson I learned is that I had made the right decision to go on opening weekend because this time the park was packed! I'm also glad that I bought tickets online because the lines for the ticket booths were massive.
They did update a few things between opening weekend and now. The exit of Blood Bayou has been finished and really adds to the finish of the walk through. They also add some neat effects that I won't mention now but they are very cool.
It seemed that they didn't have as many roaming scareactors as they did opening weekend. But maybe since the paths were so full of people I didn't notice them as much. The lines were horrible. It took about an hour to get into Blood Bayou at the beginning of the evening. The line after we went through had doubled.
After blood bayou we went to Timber Terror. It took us 2 hours to get on the coaster. I timed it with my ride app on my Droid. By the time we got on the coaster our legs were killing us from standing and we were freezing.
After Timber Terror we walked over to the Corkscrew and walked right on since it was so late in the night. After that we went home.
I didn't try to see if they were offering corndogs because the line for food at each location was horrendous. The food stand by tremors had an extremely long line and only one guy working there. I talked to one couple that drove all the way from Oak Harbor and they only got to ride the train and Tremors. They were really disappointed. It seemed like the park was way over sold.
In comparison, the first weekend I did Blood Bayou twice, The train once, Terror Canyon Trail once, Tremors twice, Timber Terror twice, Corkscrew three times, Scrambler once and the Tilt-a-wirl once. This past weekend I did Blood Bayou once, Timber Terror once, and the Corkscrew Once. That is a big change in lines. Most everything the first weekend was a walk on.
The actors were all very good and the staff was very friendly. I still like Scarywood but they need to figure out the long lines and inconsistency between the haunts.

While I still have no idea weather or not I'll be able to attend Scarywood this year, apparently on the website they've added a few things. They've added a few photos of the park, Blood Bayou and Zombiewood Express. (Not to mention adding in the warnings that ZE has profanity.)
The website is also mentioning that the event is being a success, but not just a great success, but a HUGE success!
It's been so much of a success they're now pointing out what's the least busiest time. (Thursdays, with Friday's being busier, but not as busy as Saturday.)
Also, it's been so much of a success that the park will be opening more rides for the event. (No word yet on what they are though.)
Finally, I have found a video on YouTube that's a nice overview of the event and has bits and pieces of footage of all three haunts.
I'll wait a bit before posting it, though from what I saw of it...Blood Bayou does look really good, as for Zombiewood Express it does look like it goes for more of a show then anything else. Oddly enough, in the little drive-by shooting...it gave off a nice "Zombieland" vibe which I really like.
As for Terror Canyon, from what was shown I could tell it has better theming. I also like the mask/make up of one of the characters that was shown. Though strangely enough the character was shown a lot of times in the segment.

Not alot of photos of the event from community members but I'm guessing most are focused on just enjoying the event Like last year I will be going on the last day haha so I'm curious, outside of flash photos its cool to record it all with the nightshot on my camcorder? I don't suppose there's any natural flow to the park I should know about so I can get to do more? lol Are their costume standards or anything else I should know (doing some google searches now haha). I am so excited for this event, sounds like the train might be worth it this time? Definitely can't wait for more mazes

^For me, it's hard to take pictures in the dark with my camera as they often don't turn out well. And this year, the park is only open at night, which is why most likely we aren't seeing many photos. Also, add to that the fact that not only is the lighting better during the day, there was NOBODY in the park at all during the daytime, so it was easy to take your time and walk around getting photos. This year, you're having to spend so much time in line there isn't time to do that as much.
I think you'd be fine to record with your video camera as long as you don't have a light on it, but I'm not sure. Also not sure about costume rules at all - I'd ask the park if I were you...
I would expect the lines to be atrocious when you get there on the last day this year...Blood Bayou and Timber Terror backwards were the highlights for me. Terror Canyon is good, but a lot like last year, so if you had to skip something I'd probably skip that if you went last year. The Train is good, too, but don't expect any of it to scare you at all - if you go on it expecting a show and nothing more, I think you'll be satisfied with it, but if you go expecting the creepy atmosphere from last year of going through the dark woods, you'll be disappointed, like I was.
So, I'd suggest Blood Bayou and Timber Terror first (that'll also give you a chance to go through the scare zone in the carnival area)...then the Train, then Terror Canyon (in that order if you went last year). If you didn't go last year, those last two could be switched depending on what you're in the mood for. Just my two cents.
Hope you are able to do everything - let us know what you think - I'm sure you'll have a blast!!!

Yeah, I went on the last day last year and crowds were light but from reviews they must be much heavier this year.
Terror Canyon was the highlight for me last year, I had pretty much the opposite opinion of the train. Didn't find it creepy at all, narrirator babbled on too loud for too long for that to really sink in and there wasn't a whole lot to look at.
Maybe I've been camping too much but big empty forest needed some whispering sounds or something to creep me out. I definitely want more to look at and so as long as thats covered I'll probably enjoy it more.
For me my top priority is Blood Bayou. Just figuring how I factor everything in, I'd rather not wait in too many long lines and I like the idea of saving the best for last but I'd hate to miss my entire reason for visiting. So the parks open for just six hours haha. Never been to Silverwood when it's crowded so this will be different for me.
Riding the coaster backwards sounds fun but isn't really a must do, never done it before and sounds scary but not really too much like Halloween.
Would the Scare zone in the carnival area he best place to photo op? haha
I probably won't take but a photo or two but I guess I'll find out how well the nightshot works for my cam

^Terror Canyon was the highlight for me last year, too. And there are certain things that are much cooler this year such as the story and better theming...but the haunt itself wasn't as scary this time around, and some things were the same as before, so I like your idea of keeping Blood Bayou at the top of your list - that's the way to go.
I didn't think the train was that great last year either, but this year all the lights that are set up inside the train cars make it impossible to see anything going on outside the train except for the stuff at the three scenes (the town, the mine, and the extra stop before coming out of the woods). Other than that, you can't see anything happening outside the cars, which to me ruined the atmosphere of the woods that was created last year. But I agree with you about the narration being too much last year (and too annoying)...it definitely made the mood less scary than it would have been otherwise. So, you can't see what's going on outside the train, but all the actors in the cars put on a pretty decent show that makes up for it when you're between sets.
I guess this year I was hoping for a more creepy ride through the forest, with less narration and more scary moments (kind of like what you mentioned). Instead I got an on-board live show with Nick Norton and others, which was really good and well done...just not what I was expecting or wanting. Again...just my two cents.
