Doesn't matter if your first trip was this year or the first year the park opened, write here and share your memories.
I remember my first trip must have been in 1993 or 1994. Thunder Canyon was the new ride. There was no Boulder Beach, no Coaster Alley. You had the Corkscrew coaster (which even at that point in time had no lines), the Log Flume, the Train, Thunder Canyon, and the carnival flat rides.
The Sky Diver was located in Country Carnival, where the "test of strength" type game is today. The Octopus-ride ("Monster?") was where the Trabant is.
I remember thinking it was a nice little place, but nothing that I would plan to return to every year. I got my picture taken at the Old Tyme photo place with my girlfriend at the time, and another couple.
We spent all of half a day there, and did everything we wanted to more than once.
How times have changed...

1999, Tremors opening year.
My family and I were looking for something different from Wild Waves in Washington, over at the Military Base we found a pamphlet for Silverwood and rest is history.
We were very impressed by the cleanliness of the park, and pretty much everything it had to offer. Tremors knocked our socks off and we enjoyed a train ride that actually goes deep into a forest...instead of doing a small loop inside a park.
I've attended over the years and this park has truly grown, from adding a waterpark and a Vekoma Giant Boomerang that's run better then Six Flags could have hoped for...to finally joining up with many other parks in having an Halloween event.
I've seen small, family owned parks expand and loose their touch. (Knott's Berry Farm selling to Cedar Fair being a prime example) But with Silverwood, with every expansion and addition...it still retains the charm a park should have.
Silverwood to me shows you don't need to get into a "****-measuring contest" with other parks, all you need to do is go about your own ways and keep the charm going...and I feel the charm is still in the park, even with the major additions such as the water park and Aftershock.
