^ Thanks a bunch Skinnyguy, I've been a lurker for some time so I thought it would be a good idea to join.
OK, so SW probably does have space for a transfer track. I haven't been to SW since they added the Speed Slides to Boulder Beach so my memory is a bit fuzzy.
Hmm..I must have been a bit unlucky with Timberhawk since I've always got stacked on it. It should be interesting when I go back to Fright Fest to see how the new management is doing.
Yeah, the B&M's don't come at lighter price. Though it would be good since they are much better then your standard Vekoma SLC.
Oh yeah, I know they didn't go on with the Christmas plan even though they had a layout for some Christmas maze in the Ice Palace. I'm thinking they are waiting for the Hotel before moving on to the special events.

^Interesting comments on the Christmas show. I too was trying to figure out what happened to that idea. I don't live in CdA so I'm not sure how bad the weather is up 95 in December. Maybe they are worried that (without a hotel) most people wouldn't make the drive just to see a few decorations? I mean, no one is suggesting that the actual rides operate in December are they?

On the idea of running two trains on Timber Terror and Tremors, I would have to disagree. The risk with more than one train increases as does the complexity of the rides controls. They would have to be fitted with Zone Breakes and the ability to restart a train if it is ever stopped completely in one of the brakes. The controls would then have to fitted with a computer control and manual override features. The safety of coasters that run more than one train is decreased as well. Computers fail and it's happened on other rides that run more than one train where the trains collide. I don't feel that it's worth the risk to the guests to speed up the line. The longest wait is only about 45 min. to an hour. It would be a several million dollar investment that could be spent on more rides which would take the demand off of the woodies.

The Christmas idea fell through because of a lack of research and planning, things Silverwood is some what known for.

The longest wait is only about 45 min. to an hour. It would be a several million dollar investment that could be spent on more rides which would take the demand off of the woodies. I'm not even sure how to comment on that. I just got back froma trip where I rode three jr woodies. All of them MUCH shorter than TT or Tremors. None of them with any history of colision or injury. Two of them with no computer ar all! Just a manual brake lever. Everyone is entitled to there opinion. But there is a reason TT and Tremors are just about the ONLY woodies on the planet that have only one train. It has nothing to do with safety that any woodie only runs one train. Yes it would cost more, but a 45 min to an hour wait at Silverwood is an absolute joke. You won't find that kind of wait for a woodie at major theme parks very often, let alone a park the size of SW. When I was at Coaster Alley Convergence a few years ago, there were 60 total people in attendence. Probably half of them were from outside the NW. The only complaint I heard the entire time about Silverwood was the fact that they only have one train. Unfortunately, I kept hearing it over and over and over again. People were simply in shock over the fact that there was only one train. It gets noticed and people don't like it. /end rant

Please elaborate; I didn't know this was the reason and would like a better understanding of why.

I definitely agree with adding second trains on the wooden coasters, there have been times when I've waited two hours to get on them which is pretty ridiculous for the size of the park.
Boulder Beach also desperately needs some adult body slides (besides the Velocity Peak ones) so I'd like to see them add a tower with four body slides. I'm surprised they didn't put those in to begin with. A Master Blaster Water Coaster would also be awesome.
I also agree that the kiddie area needs to be expanded. There aren't very many kids' rides and the atmosphere is sort of lame. They need to add something like a spinning cups ride and a bouncy castle.
As far as adult rides, I'd like to see some newer medium-intensity rides that won't have real long lines. Sometimes you get tired of waiting for an hour plus to ride a coaster and just want to do something you can hop right on. Maybe replace the scrambler and tilt-a-whirl with something better.
