home.businesswire.com/portal/site/google/index.jsp?ndmViewId=news_view&newsId=20071106005377&newsLang=enSo, it's confirmed - Knott's is adding ANOTHER coaster. Don't get me wrong, I think it sounds like a really fun ride, something almost everyone can enjoy, it seems to fit the theme of the area it's going in, etc. But, as I've said before - Knott's needs to stop adding more roller coasters, and focus on other things for a while. Round out the selection of things to do. Fix the rides that have been closed for almost a freaking YEAR!!! Do something with the KOTD building that has been vacant for freaking ever. I'd gladly wait a few years for them to put this in if it meant improvements to other areas of the park. Knott's is heading down the same path as SFMM...wait...haven't I heard that somewhere before?

Well that's Cedar Fair for you, more thrill rides, coasters, pavement and trashscans...less family stuff.
Out of sheer irony though, Cedar Point is redoing their kid section.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Silver Bullet killed Knotts.
After that coaster, I really don't care what they do anymore. That coaster singlehandedly killed any remaining charm Knotts had that Cedar Fair hadn't sucked out of it.
So go ahead and add Pony Express. It doesn't matter anymore. Knott's has practically nothing left to do that ISN'T a coaster.

^ The log flume, Ghost Town and Calico Mine are really all that's left. CF has totally destroyed that park. And I love both Silver Bullet and Xcelerator. But great coasters are not the only thing that makes a theme park great. (See every past comment I have ever made about Dollywood)
