During our trip to the DLR last week, we walked past the site of the alleged "third park", and it got me thinking about it agian. Then, Screamscape reported that the project may be moving forward faster than originally planned.
So...what do you guys think about this idea of a third park anyway? I have mixed feelings. I love DCA (go ahead and laugh...I don't care, I think it's an awesome park), I think it's a nice addition to the resort. A third park could be equally as good of an addition, however, on the other hand I kind of like the resort as it is. Maybe I'm just not one for change, but it doesn't sit as well with me to add a third park to the mix.
Thoughts anyone? Good idea? Bad idea? If they do put in a third park, what would its theme be? What direction should they take it?

^ I think any new Disney park, no matter where it is, is a good thing. And I am just like you, I think DCA is a great park. We spend nearly as much time in DCA when we are there as we do Disneyland.
As far as theming, I've heard several rumors, but I kind of like the original idea of puting in a EPCOT type park. Westcot is the name that was floating around years ago. EPCOT is by far my favorite Disney park, so if they could do something like that I would love it. Not sure if there is enough room to really do it right though. EPOCT is HUGE!

While I like the idea of a third park, I do NOT like the rumored "boutique park" concept that's being floated about the net these days. Essentially an exclusive ultra-rich park that divides the Disney crowds into classes if you ask me. Please do NOT let this happen Disney!
I'd be happy for something like WESTCOT or better yet, Tokyo Disney Sea, but my guess is it will be a water park along with maybe a golf course and a couple of nice resort-style hotels?
