I just got back from what has become an annual October trip to CDA and noticed the renewed interest and city pride in the old Playland Pier. I noticed that since I moved from the area down to Orlando, the city even managed to get their hands on the old Carousel and find a permanent home for it down on Sherman near NIC. I've always suspected that some of the rides from Playland made their way to Silverwood, such as the Big Eli Ferris Wheel, but upon doing research, it seems that, while not listed on RCDB or any credit counting sites, Playland did have a Molina & Sons kiddie coaster, which Silverwood also seemed to have from 1991 to a undetermined date. Could this be the same coaster? And if so, what was it's fate? During my time at Silverwood, no one seemed to know what happened to the old kiddie coaster, but the general belief was that Tiny Toot was it's replacement. Also, no photos seem to exist of this coaster at Silverwood, however I did manage to find one photo of the kiddie coaster at Playland. Might be a dead end but, its worth a shot! Silverwood 1991 kiddie coaster @ RCDB: rcdb.com/179.htm

I don't know anything on the link to Playland is but I think I can help on the one at Silverwood.
I know that Tiny Toot opened along with the Tinywood Expansion in 1998. With that in mind i would assume that the M and S coaster would have been retired after the 1997 season, however I don't have confirmation of that not any evidence.
I have never seen any pictures of the Molina and Sons coaster at Silverwood, nor anywhere else for that matter.
My only guess is that the ride opened as part of country carnival in 1991, and was second hand from another park, and was closed in 1997 for Tiny Toot.

I can't speak in relation to the rides, but I also noticed in my recent trips to the area that the waterfront seemed a lot more spruced up. The carousel is a nice addition, and was in a perfect central location. Nice to see the city putting the time, effort, and resources into keeping the area looking great.
