With the website getting updated with a new teaser page, ( www.scarywoodhaunt.com/landing.php ) I think it's time we have a thread for this year's Scarywood.
Last year was mainly focused on improving the scare zones in the park and by all accounts they succeeded on that, and while no new mazes were brought in they did have two major changes in the form of The Ancient Ruins moving from Thunder Canyon to the field in RCA (Still good, but the maze really did work in Thunder Canyon), and 3Dementia ditching the two seperate routes and just having one big maze, easily making it the most improved maze that year.
It should be interesting to see what returns this year and what won't, since I do have a feeling they'll get a brand new maze or two. When you look at what's the oldest attractions it's Blood Bayou, Zombiewood Express and the Clown Town scare zone. For Clown Town, I can see that staying since scare zones can usually have a longer shelf life especially if it proves popular. As for Zombiewood Express, just like scare zones I can see that staying for a bit more since for the most part it's more of a show. An' with any show as long as you keep updating it each year you're pretty much good.
That leaves us with Blood Bayou, with it being here for 5 years so far, that's starting to get a little long in the tooth even for haunted attractions which have returning mazes. If it is finally getting replaced, then it'll be exciting to see what it's replaced with considering the Ice Palace definitely is the best spot for a maze, there's a lot of space to work with and go all out with it.
(On a unrelated note, Post #300!)
