Since the park is teasing announcements for 2014, I figure it's appropriate to make a general thread for the park this year.
The park is teasing that family fun will be getting bigger this year, and as we know from IAAPA the park got a little SBF spinning coaster. Now on twitter, the park mentions a new expansion is coming this year...so I think it's safe to say the spinning coaster will not be the only attraction coming out this year!
A good question now is, where's the expansion going? I'm fairly certain it's going in the good chunk of space between Garfield's Summer Camp and the entry courtyard, though the park has surprised us before on where to shoehorn something in.

If I were to guess, I think it might go over in the area around Corkscrew and Battlezone. There was a backhoe over in that area today (from the Krem weather camera) and they've hinted at family area expansion, which would be that area (Tilt-a-whirl to Thunder Canyon).

^That would be a nice place to see some additional rides, though I have to wonder how they would fit things in with the train tracks so close to the walkway already? I've always felt that area back by Thunder Canyon felt kinda "dead", so if something new finds its way back there that would be great!

^^ Ooo, I never knew about that Krem Weather Camera, thanks for mentioning it! The backhoe is still there behind Battlezone, though it doesn't look like there's any visable work going on yet. EDIT- Actually...now that the sun is out, is it just me, or does it look like the Battlezone pool is gone? www.krem.com/weather/skytracker2-network/Silverwood-210076281.html

^Good eye, Wolfblood - I think you are correct. It appears to be completely gone! Interesting stuff

I noticed that is was gone this morning as well. I think the whole thing is gone. I don't think it's ever been that popular that I've seen. It never seemed to really fit the rest of the park anyway. It had the highest height requirement in the park at 56" (IIRC) and was the only ride/attraction that you paid for additionally (excluding the games area obviously). And maybe we'll get an update to the Antique Cars layout, to make more space for other attractions. Right now it also kind of looks like something is going on around Thunder Canyon, but that might just be something reflecting the sunlight into the camera.

At first I thought that's how the Battlezone looked during the off-season, combined with the chance that you might not be able to see the chainlink fence around the pool due to the quality/how far away the camera is. But once the sun came out, it certainly looks like the pool is in fact gone, and the only thing that remains is the little booth that you payed at.
With Battlezone looking to be torn out, that does open a nice little chunk of land which can be used for a attraction or two. Possibly that SBF spinning coaster, perhaps? As for other possible spaces to expand within the park, I wonder if that chunk of land in RCA that's been used the past couple years for Scarywood will be eventually used?

I think the new attraction might be a family dark ride, possibly with a Garfield theme.

As a heads up, it looks like the weather cam has been turned to the left, showing the beginning of the turnaround for the train and some of the airstrip. Thankfully the park did say last week to stay tuned in the next couple days to find out about the expansion, so chances are it'll be hinted at more or flat-out revealed this week.

Silverwood has announced the new family attractions. This is from The Spokesman-Review on January 28th:
The park will spend more than $1.2 million to nearly double its family entertainment area with three new rides – a kite glider, a giant puppy ride that barks on command, and a spinning family coaster – to open by this summer.
Space for an additional ride – a hot air balloon-themed attraction – will be prepared for a 2015 opening, and the kiddie Ferris wheel will be re-themed and moved to the new area, north of Garfield’s Summer Camp and east of the Butterflyer and Frog Hopper rides. New pathways with seating areas, trees and gardens will be added as well.
Construction is expected to begin in February.
Silverwood is the largest theme and water park in the Northwest. It opened in 1988
