Since the regular park season has yet to begin, there's not too much to discuss...though I think one thing can easily be discussed is what do you think won't be returning this year?
This year could be quite interesting due to last year was the fourth year for Blood Bayou and Zombiewood Express, four years is the longest any attraction has gone before getting replaced.* Tricky thing is, both BB and ZE are so far the biggest attractions at the event. I have a feeling at least one of them won't return this year, but it would be something if both didn't return.
* Both Timber Terror Backwards and Clown Town had it's fourth year as well last year, but I have a feeling those are staying. Scare Zones can have longer runs then mazes due to their open-ended nature of scares.

Personally, I don't think the Zombiewood Express is leaving anytime soon. That has become the staple show (in fact, the only show at the event) for Scarywood, and was recognized as one of the top ten haunted attractions in the U.S. Therefore, it could remain for years to come, similar to, say, "The Hanging" at Knott's, which has been there since the late 70's.
I'd really like to see something new with Blood Bayou - that one is starting to get a bit stale. It is still a great haunt, no doubt. But I've been through it 4-5 times now. I know where all the props are, where the path goes, etc. It's been way too much the same each year, even though they try and change it. I know it's considered a "permanent" attraction, but I'm hoping they really do some significant work on it this year.
Ancient Ruins was outstanding, so I hope that one gets a second year. 3-Dementia was better in 2012 verses 2013, but still a lot of fun. It's a great one that can be changed up easily, so I'm guessing it'll be back, too, no matter what form it takes on. I also liked Total Darkness, so I'm hoping it returns, with a little more added to it. Of everything in 2013, it had the most potential for growth.

I don't know anything specific, but I do know that some of the people who go on the buying trips to conventions is very excited about some new thing they got for Scarywood. Something big and new.

^ Makes sense, last month was Transworld, which is pretty much the main big Haunted Attraction Trade Show. I consider it the equivalent of IAAPA to Theme Parks.
As for the new attractions last year that will be staying or going, I feel The Ancient Ruins will definitely be staying. Same with Total Darkness if it faired well with guests. Scare zone wise, it's 50/50 weather or not they'll return. The tricky thing is, the event has had both mazes and scare zones last for one year. (Mid-Fright Express, Mind Warp and the Oddities scare zone.)
Oh yes, I feel Zambora's Curse won't be returning...especially if they decide they want a new maze in that location again. The first year of 3-Dementia certainly showed a good sized maze can be on that lawn.

Alright, the website has officially been updated! Admittedly it's a little janky right now with a wonky layout and black text that's pretty much impossible to read against the picture collage background, but it's got a lot of new info.
The tagline for this year looks to be "Where Nightmares are Made, Never Sleep Again". Now then, the attractions! Though as a heads up, at the moment it seems like this might be a "quieter" year. I think you'll be able to see why with the list.
Attractions
3-Dementia
"Rusty Sprocket is at it again! His demented fun house has again increased in size for 2014 and is better than ever. You won't be safe anywhere once inside 3Dementia. This gigantic 3D attraction will feature ALL NEW scares and 3D illusions. Put on your 3D glasses if you dare because each turn will bring you to a whole new level of fear.
Location: Pavilion 5"
The Ancient Ruins
"Many enter and only few escape. Make quiet and subtle movements through this jungle because you never know what is around the corner. It's easy to get lost...and even easier to get captured. Enter if you dare! The Ancient Ruins has been updated with ALL NEW scares and has moved to a new location!
Location: Between Tremors and Log Flume (Pretty much where Zambora's Curse was last year and 3-Dementia's original location the year before)"
Blood Bayou
"Enter the bayou where anything can happen and cannibals lurk behind every corner. This fan favorite has received an update for the 2014 season and will continue to scare even the bravest who enter. There is one way in and only one way out. The question is whether you will make it out alive?
Location: Main Street"
Total Darkness
"Welcome to your worst nightmare...your own mind. When the lights go out and the safety of seeing is gone, anything can happen. Try to control yourself as you make your way through this maze. Total Darkness has been updated for the 2014 season and you won't want to miss what we have in store for you in year two.
Location: Theater of Illusions"
Zombiewood Express
"Hop aboard the Zombiewood Express! Take a zombie hunting expedition through the Silverwood backwoods with your guide Sgt. Buzz and his gang of zombie killers. There is nothing that makes Sgt. Buzz more excited than killing millions of zombies along the way. This will get messy! (Not recommended for anyone under 17 years old. Heavy profanity on board)
Location: Main Street"
Scare Zones
Clown Town Crime Scene The Crypts The Scarywood Nest Scarecrow Corner
*NEW for 2014*
The Dollhouse
"An evil feeling that will make your spine tingle hovers over the night. Broken dolls blankly stare at you while you walk down the path. If I were you, I wouldn't make eye contact."
Quarantine Zone
"The Zombie Apocalypse is happening and it is taking over the theme park! Zombies have infested the north end and it is up to you to avoid becoming one of them. Watch your back because there aren't any zombie hunters to protect you from the chaos."
Rides
Timber Terror Backwards Tremors Panic Plunge Corkscrew SpinCycle Sky Diver Super Round-Up Scrambler
Tickets

---------
So that's all the information so far, at the moment this year seems to be a bit quieter due to no compleately new attraction this year. It seems like they're focusing on the attractions they do have, which can be fine depending on how much they update the current attractions. I think the one that's going to see the most changes will be The Ancient Ruins considering it's moving from Thunder Canyon to the field location in RCA. That should be interesting considering by all accounts TAR fit perfectly in Thunder Canyon. Also, with the Scarywood Vortex Tunnel not listed in the scare zones, I have a feeling it'll be moved back into it's rightful place in a maze, probably 3-Dementia since that's announced to be bigger this year.
UPDATE - As it turns out, when I came on this morning I stumbled upon the website as it was in transition of changing. The finished site looks much better and it's also revealed the two new scare zones. No idea where The Dollhouse is going, though with the Quarantine Zone mentioning the North End of the park I could see this being in Main Street.

Interesting that there's no attraction going into Thunder Canyon's flume this year. I suppose it makes alot of sense to give the canyon a break this year because its presistant use is probably making it a bit old hat and the fact that it's flooded pretty terribly in previous years makes it a bit less than ideal for working in.
I'm curious how Ancient Ruins will turn out in the old 3Dementia space. It will have alot more freedom within the space to really push sets and details and that looks like what they're doing based on the behind the scenes video. It seems like we had a coupe more shows and things last year? I'm not sure since I didn't attend last year due to scheduling difficulties with my classes.
The descriptions sound like they might place a greater focus on scare zones and core attractions this year which might be a sound strategy. Definitely doesn't seem like a massive expansion or change year but then again not every year needs to be. Scare zone focus could really help as some years I've felt that outside of the clown carnival the scare zones have been a bit too light overall.

^ For me there's probably several good reasons why Thunder Canyon isn't being used this year for a venue, not just due to flooding issues or it kinda has to use the same layout due to the ride itself...but these kind of layovers can do a bit of wear and tear on the ride itself. Another factor is it's a bit of a time crunch to do the entire overlay, normally that's not too bad...but it can get really tight and down to the wire when you add in the other venues that can't start their overlay until the busy season is over. (Theater of Illusions, Train, possibly even the picnic pavilion) A nice advantage to the Ancient Ruins being moved into that field is they've been able to construct things during this month and get a good head start. (Though keep in mind, that Behind the Scenes video was filmed last year.)
As for number of attractions compared to last year, there was 15 attractions last year. 4 mazes, 1 haunted ride (Z.E.), 5 scare zones, 4 extras. (Zambora's Curse (Side-show), Apollo and Ghoules Gone Wild (Photo-ops), and the Vortex Tunnel) and Timber Terror Backwards. (Technically it would have been 16, but by all accounts the Rolling Bones animatronic show never happened.)
This year there's 13 attractions; 4 mazes, 1 haunted ride, 7 scare zones and Timber Terror Backwards. Now I do feel the photo ops could possibly return this year, they're just not considered a full-blown attraction. Same goes for the Vortex Tunnel, which is probably put back into a maze.

I think a lot of emphasis is being put on revamping what has been relatively the same for a while (Blood Bayou, I'm talking about you). And using the TOI as a location is a lot more flexible than TC. But I would guess that more things will eventually fill TC again. And I can imagine eventually they might start using parts of the water park since they'd have all of September undisturbed to work on more haunts.
