Hey, I am auditioning on the 5th and wondering if anyone reads this board that has been an actor there and might have some advice for me. The audition is a very short improv session. The only reason Silverwood uses an audition process is to determine the levels of creativity and talent. The more talented performers work on the streets while the other talents(who are very good performers as well) work in the mazes and houses. Here are three tips: 1. Don't be afraid to act like a fool 2. Be creative 3. Have fun I believe John Jachim and/or Nick Norton are in charge of the audition and both are easy to impress if you follow those tips. I have not heard of anyone who attended an audition that did not get hired to work at Scarywood, but the hard part is to stand out. Good luck and Happy Hauntings to you Christine.

I'm sorry but the paint ball rumor is just false. If it turns out to be correct I will show up at Scarywood naked and that is the scariest thing that could ever happen at the event.

A new maze has been confirmed by a source in the park to be located in the construction area between Tremors and the log flume.

^ Thanks for the info, Monkeybeast. That would explain why they're working on this so early, and while it did cross my mind the platforms seemed similar to what Knott's uses for their mazes...I was thinking of the zombie paintball rumor and that wouldn't seem like the best spot to put it due to what's nearby.
Anyways, Silverwood once again surprises us with the location for their haunted attractions. I'm happy it's in that location so it could help spread the crowds out and prevent Main Street being a cluster. It'll be fun seeing how big it'll be, not to mention where they'll do the entrance/exit/queue since I can see it using the little path from Coaster Alley, as well as the backstage path for the log flume which dumps out into Country Carnival.

if this pans out it would also add some activity to a section of the park thats currently underutilized. Granted I figured the coaster side paths weren't being used due to fear of the fog leaking out onto the highway. Though the new highway order probably makes that less of an issue for leaving the event and whatever else. I suppose it would make sense to enter on the coaster side and then exit back into Country Carnival as that way the entrance could be mostly lighting while the exit is still confusing and in the dense fog. I'm actually really curious how that all turns out. It also makes me wonder what kind of experience it'd be. If it would be something more linear like terror canyon or a maze type deal like mindwarp. The potential is high either way, mindwarp was a bit misplaced it seems and never got much attention (granted it was a very brief experience anyways). Hopefully the net total of attractions turns out higher then things were last year though

In today's newsletter from Silverwood they announced the name of the new attraction, 3-Dementia
For this attraction I think we can certainly expect plenty of 3-D and funhouse/disorienting effects.

is this an employee newsletter?
I'm curious, so Mindwarp is fully out and this new attraction will be between the log flume and tremors? Is the overall attraction count increasing this year or is it staying about the same but keeping fresh with some dramatically new effects and styling?
