It's pretty much worked with any park.

^ Agreed. However, I'm with styvx on the comment about it being among the best in the country. You're not going to find more than a handful of people who would consider a GIB among the best coasters in the country. Gotta hype your ride, though. I'm surprised we haven't bee hearing more along the lines of "record breaking coaster" as it is the tallest and fastest coaster in the Pacific Northwest. The term "record breaking" is pretty easy to spin, as most of your major park chains prove every year.

^I'm actually surprised at the marketing - or lack thereof - for Aftershock thus far. Where I live, many people are unaware that Silverwood is even putting in a new coaster this year. Those who do know don't realize that it is their biggest, fastest, tallest coaster ever. Silverwood has a huge opportunity to market this ride and bring people to the park but I don't see them doing much. In fact, it seems that Panic Plunge had a bigger campaign than Aftershock, from what I've seen.

I thought you guys would be intrested to know that Aftershock ran it's first test run last night. However, it was a forced miscatch test, so as of last night, the whole train is sitting in the e-brakes inbetween Tower 2 and the loop. From what it looks like in the video I took, as well as what I was told by some higher-ups, the train did latch onto the catch car, however, they manually disengaged the train from the catch car from inside the station. Here's the video. Watch it in high quality. www.youtube.com/watch?v=hRjUOQGl-IAAftershock should be starting to run full cycle tests very soon. The opening is not too far off now! Oh, one last thing... Aftershock looked beautiful going through the cobra and the loop last night

They were doing test runs this morning when I dropped my daughter off at work. It looks very cool...but I think I'll pass on ever riding it.

I'll be there next week and if it's open great if not there is always next year. It seems to me it will take longer than a week of testing -Barry

I'm going to be there this Monday. I think the chances of it being opened are real slim. Sad because I was REALLY looking forward to going on this ride. I'll have to wait another year before I'll get to ride it.
