I have posted a full report of my trip to Ohio last week including; Cedar Point, Geauga Lake, Waldameer Park, and more. Cedar point was a very fun park. Maverick did not dissapoint and Millennium Force was simply amazing. Check out all the pictures and full report here.

Glad you could go skylark...I went about exactly a year ago from your trip. It threatened rain all day but never really did so we got to ride everything. Having been to both GL and CP, here's how I felt:
I really liked the B&M at GL as well as Villian. The SLC was the first of its kind that I actually enjoyed. Raging Wolf Bobs however, was the best. And I enjoyed the impulse they used to have - Steel Venom. Crowds on my visit to that park were just like yours - it was amazing if we had to wait even one train to get on.
CP was great for us. I thoroughly enjoyed Magnum, Dragster, Raptor, and, despite what everyone says, I liked Mean Streak. Lots of other rides there were cool. Bobsleds were weird but fun. Millennium Force is in a class of its own, IMO.
How would you say MF compares with Maverick? Details please!!!

Sounds like you had a good time...my wife and I are seriously thinking that this may be the next place we start saving money for.
BTW, at the risk of sounding naive, what does SLC stand for?

^ Suspended Looping Coaster. It's an acronym for Vekoma's of that specific model. They have made slight modifications since being introduced but all have the same basic layout.
Bud, I am in agreement with you on Millennium Force being in its own class, even after riding Maverick. Truthfully there aren't a lot of similarities between the two. MF is a huge, speed monster with a wide open layout. Maverick, is a more versatile coaster. It is a looper, and launched coaster. Also, it's a coaster that most of the time takes you through quick directional changes and is very low to the ground with rocks walls and different things you travel through to give the illusion if even more speed.
Based on my own personal enjoyment level on like MF, TTD, and Raptor better than Maverick. That isn't a knock at all on Maverick though. It was a great coaster and a lot of fun.
You mentioned Mean Streak. I didn't really dislike it, it just really didn't do much. Kind of meandered around for a long time. I thought Blue Streak was a much better woodie.
