And good riddance to that monstrosity. I don't like to see rides go, but 3-Point Challenge is a much better use of that space, especially since it's a source of revenue.

Aww, I have seen videos of those things and they look fun, but I guess I won't miss anything, judging from what you've said about it! I have a trip planned for August, probably going to the park the 11th, 12th and possibly the 13th- anyone have a prediction as to the weekday crowds? Also where should I eat/not eat at the park? Obviously ice cream, but what else?

I've been curious as to what happened with the other kiddie rides that were announced last year. As I recall, they said in 2014 they would add the Puppy ride, Spinning Coaster, and Hang-Glider rides, with the Balloon ride coming in 2015. Only things actually added were the puppy ride and spinning coaster. Guess they must have backed out of the other two, but wondering why...

Certainly the game will drive additional revenue, but closing a ride and not adding another ride to compensate? Even if elsewhere in the park? Seems like a bad deal for guests, even if the Trabant was less than loved. The park is now down one ride.
And to be fair, I liked the ride myself, even though they are a dime a dozen.
Looks like 2015 isn't going to bring much new to the table. Hopefully they are planning something big for 2016. I'd love to see them pull a Holdiay World and bring in a major new steel coaster. Silverwood could really use a smooth steel coaster, and there are so many incredibly smooth, amazing steel creations nowadays that would truly take the park to the next level.

When it comes to 2016, my gut feeling is there may be something, but nothing big like a coaster. (RMC-wise, we have a good idea where'll they'll be in 2016. California, Kentucky, Tennessee and Sweden)Now my other gut feeling says in 2016 we'll see construction indictating something big for 2017. That's how I feel at the moment, though of course anything can happen between now and then. Now as for this year, well I'm definitely looking forward to Chris and Mike's PTR of their recent trip since I just noticed something interesting on google maps today. Earlier someone did mention they saw some kind of construction or whatever nearby Aftershock, and with GM having a recent update around that section, you now see this. tinyurl.com/pq32n8aThat's a sizable clearing of land, though weather that's for the park or the picnic pavilion, I don't know. Should be interesting to see what becomes of it.

I have wondered, what are the buildings with the blue roofs? One is marked as "Chuck Wagon John's" but on the map the others are hidden behind Tremors... Also it shows a pool back there, which on google maps is empty. Is this a maintenance area? If so maybe they are just clearing land off for that. but hopefully it's something more fun!
I have been wondering when they will update the Scarywood schedule for this year, and it looks like they finally have! Also, was Tremors running last year during the event? They have it listed now, but I can't remember if I saw it there last year or not. I'm sure that will be a lot of fun in the dark. I already have my hotel room booked for Oct. 22-23, anyone else who plans on going let me know

Those are the picnic pavilions that groups can rent and use for events. The pool is really just a small pond with a fountain. You're welcome to go back there when the park is open. Theres some large grassy areas too.

I went to Silverwood Monday and Tuesday, and it was super fun, probably the most fun I have had in years! The park is so nice looking and clean, I was not expecting to be so immersed in the atmosphere but the staff have done a wonderful job making this place a special place to be. I am thinking about going back tomorrow for either a half or full day, I had so much fun at both Boulder Beach and Silverwood and didn't even get to do everything I wanted (night ride on timber terror backseat!) I did get to ride Aftershock just as the sun was setting in the front seat with my shoes off- amazing! I posted a photo TR on themeparkreview's forum, if anyone wants to check it out: www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=70786
