Maybe the news that the Hard Rock Park rides are going to Vietnam is all a ruse. Silverwood officials did say the park would nearly double in size.

flat doubling of the parks size in that way would waste the impact of adding each of those rides individually.
I'd really like to see the park develop a new area though.

Is the big expansion planned for 2015 still on? Or has it been delayed by the kiddy ride addition? Does anyone have information about what they looked at at IAAPA last week? I guess we know they're adding dolphins, but what else could there be...

^ Patience, this isn't the usual time for Silverwood to announce anything new. This year they didn't start throwing hints out for the GSC expansion until January. As for what they looked at IAAPA, only they know.
Now RMC-wise, not surprisingly they're booked full through 2017. At least 3 projects in 2016 (We already know one of them is Wildfire at Kolmarden), and 4 projects in 2017. Keep in mind, the number of projects also include projects with S&S. (RMC provides the track for S&S's new 4D Free Spin coaster.) So if that Silverwood RMC is on it's way anytime soon, there's a chance it's 2016/2017.

Ah, I see. Thank you for the information, Janurary will be eventful! It'l be interesting to see how things will turn out. It's awesome that RMC is doing so well with their business. 2016, 2017, 2018. No matter what year they decide to build it's going to be worth the wait!

Dolphin lady, do you have any idea when the move may take place without being too specific as I understand the biz and the repercussions of too much info.

I can't believe the 2015 expansion is still happening on schedule. Norton said it would add another 1/3 to 1/2 to the park size. Something that large would have to at least be starting on some heavy construction at this point if they want it ready for the 2015 season. The GSC expansion wasn't something that would take months to build, so a later announcement in January could be understood for that, but something the size of what Norton mentioned would have been announced by now. Or no doubt, we'd be seeing/hearing signs of construction by now, at the very least. And we've heard nothing. Just my 2 cents...

As a heads up, I've been taking a look at the Krem weather camera here and there and I've yet to see any visable construction going on. So at the moment it's a bit of a mystery on what's in store for this year, if any.

Well its feb 2015 and i dont see a major building site going on, but I did see a area next to aftershock where they are putting in something but too early to tell its a area about the same size afterschock is sitting on. Also there was a huge crane just outside the park reaching into the park over by that grassy area where they have the stage. Its hard to see but next time I ride my motorcycle out there ill take my binocolors. if anyone has any idea what there building please post.

^ Thanks for the info, Tim. I've been taking a look at the weather cam the past couple days, and I've noticed a few things. Case in point as of today (Feb 25th) there's a black crane parked on the airstrip, don't know what it's exactly for...but chances are it's probably used for general TLC of the park. After all yesterday there was another crane/lift working on Corkscrew. Now on the parks twitter they have been showing a couple general improvements happening to the park, the first one is the Kettle Korn building past the entrance to Country Carnival is getting a remodel. They've flattened the old building so it's getting a new one from the ground up. Second, the park has recently tweeted that the log flume is getting a much needed makeover. At first I thought I was seeing a new structure go up in the grassy field which had the Ancient Ruins during Scarywood, but what I was seeing was the log flume hill's structure without the flume. As for the area near Aftershock, is this the spot you were mentioning, Tim? tinyurl.com/ps4m8jcIt's the only area near Aftershock which is about the same size as the coaster, and admittedly there's certainly space to put in something or possibly several things. Might be best to keep a eye on that area.
