I like the launched wooden coaster idea, too. But again, can't see how that would add 1/3 to 1/2 to the park. If that ever becomes a reality, I'd think RMC would have to be the ones to do it! In other news - Silverwood posted a teaser for their 2014 additions - definitely alluding to family-oriented ride(s). I'm sure the spinning coaster will be announced, but wonder if there's anything else in store as well? www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10152226388598674&set=a.392410823673.174682.21909073673&type=1&theater

Theres not much I can say about specifics, I don't know anymore than you, really, but yes. I can almost guarantee there will be at least one more new ride.

Adding to the strange rumor mill for 2015, there was a post on Silverwood's facebook asking if it's true there's a dolphin exhibit in the works. Truth be told I have no idea where this person got this rumor, but it's definitely amusing.
Either way, it's going to be interesting seeing whatever is coming for 2015. I was suddenly reminded that the last huge addition to the park came on the third year of consecutive additions. (06' - Panic Plunge, 07' - B.B. expansion, 08' - Aftershock) An' it's all lining up that way again. Last year - Barnstormer and SpinCycle, This year - New expansion with kiddie spinning coaster, Next Year - Something real big and crazy.

I think Silverwood will build a new ice palace/entertainment theater as well as a new golf course that would replace the now closed Garwood golf course that was down the highway in this expansion.

Guess I'll just cut and paste from my trip report thread since this seems to be the expansion rumors thread. It looks like they're clearing out a section over by one of the turnarounds of Tremors for a new ride. I didn't really think too much of it since it looked like they'd literally just started. Also of note was a little path and clearing over by the exit to Thunder Canyon. There were workers building SOMETHING, though I really couldn't tell what. It almost looked like the frame for a building with lots of pipes and such almost laid out in a maze-like pattern. Could this be the rumored interactive dark ride that I've been hearing about the last few years? Most evident, though, was construction going on in the Boulder Beach section of the park. From the top of Avalanche Mountain you can see where they've leveled ground over by Polliwog Park. There are some green pieces of slide laying around as well as a few big tractors and piles of dirt, as well as a concrete structure that looks like it might turn into some more bathrooms. Anyone know if anything's been confirmed yet? I was excited to see so much stuff going on! I wonder what they're planning?

^ Hey there, Roan. First off, welcome to the boards!
Secondly, with the section near one of the turnarounds for Tremors and near the exit of Thunder Canyon, that area has so far been used for the parks annual Scarywood event the past couple of years. Two years ago they used it as a location for a haunted house, and last year they used the spot for a sideshow attraction. There's been rumors it'll be used as a nice shortcut between Coaster Alley and Country Carnival, though it could be very well used for another Scarywood attraction. An' this is around the time they'd get started on constructing things for the event if they can.
As for Boulder Beach, I could definitely see some sort of Boulder Beach expansion happening behind Polliwog Park and the Lazy River. (Not to mention behind the wave pools as well.)
Now as for the green slide pieces, looking on google maps I do spot two green pieces behind the wave pool. Though they look like they belong to Ricochet Rapids. (An' this is a very recent google maps upload since it shows the new GSC expansion as well.) However I wouldn't be surprised if there was something going on in Boulder Beach since it's been a little while since they've gotten a new attraction.

The Dolphin Habitat rumor is NOT a rumor. Gary Norton bought a Dolphinarium in Florida. The plan is to transport part of the collection to Idaho.

The park is Gulf World in Panama City Beach. I live in PCB. A Gulf World trainer told me. With the Blackfish-Backlash, they are smart to keep it a secret.
