Nancy DiGiammarco stated in a recent interview with the Spokane Business Journal that a themed hotel will be built on the property in the near future and will be named the Silverwood Resort Hotel. What are your thoughts and what theme should it have if any?

Shouldn't the theme match the park? Westernish? I dunno sounds like it could be alot of fun. I'd wonder where it would be built.
Is there any way to link the Spokane Business Journal? Hopefully hotel expansion costs wouldn't take away too much from park expansion. I really can't wait for the next big ride at this point.

Here's the link to the article, www.spokanejournal.com/article.php?id=8507From that quote, I do believe the hotel itself won't be called the Silverwood Resort Hotel. I feel she ment that the park itself will become a resort due to the addition of the hotel. It's just like Disneyland, Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando are all known as resorts due to having their own hotels on-site.

I understand your point, but I do believe that the hotel will be called the Silverwood Resort Hotel. Disneyland's first hotel is called the Disneyland Resort Hotel BTW. I think in five years we will know for sure what the name will be.

I thought it was just called the Disneyland Hotel, I don't think Disneyland started to use the resort title until the late 90's
typically one starts throwing down resort not just because you've added a hotel but because of other aminities that move the experience towards a multiday one. I guess its another reason why I hope wereever they build the hotel it isn't in an area that takes away from park expansion. Not that they don't have plenty of space I suppose.
I'd hope the hotel would just be called the Silverwood Hotel as resort feels like an unnecessary qualifier. The entire package would be the Silverwood resort which would include the hotel and themepark/waterpark.
if they built it close to the park I wonder how they would integrate it in with the current parking situation and the campground and whatever else. I'm hoping they can do a layout that is conducive to expansion. It feels like the train is sitting oddly with the layout of the park to me so I'm curious to see how this all gets hammered out as they design things for the future.

Not to rain on the parade here, but perhaps the title of this thread should've been "The Silverwood Resort Hotel is EVENTUALLY Coming". They have been talking about this for years, and I would suspect they're still years away from actually moving forward.

BTW, I clicked on the link and it shows me the Scarywood attendance records, and not the resort hotel. We have to purchase subscription in order to see the rest of the article. Can someone post the entire article's words from this article onto this forum?

Got to agree with Bud. I am really excited to see it eventually get here though.
And not that it matters at all, but the term "Disneyland Resort" didn't even exist until California Adventure was built. It was always called the "Disneyland Hotel" and still is.

I comprehend your point, but I do believe that the place will be known as the Silver wood Hotel Resort. Disney land's first hotel is known as the Disney land Hotel Resort BTW.

^ disneyland.disney.go.com/disneyland-hotel/ Still technically the "Disneyland Hotel". At least according to Disney's own web site. It is also referred to as the "Disneyland Resort Hotel" but "Disneyland Hotel" has always been, and still is, it's official name. I don't care what they end up calling the Silverwood version, just glad it's on the way.
