I would be walking through enjoying the Christmas displays.

^I wouldn't be this year since we just had our first baby a couple days ago, but I'd sure be thinking about it! I remember a few years ago they announced they were going to do a Christmas event (they did a press release, etc.), but then it never happened. I have to wonder if it would work for them if they ever did want to do that? They'd have to come up with some pretty spectacular displays and attractions I would think. Something to get everyone out there in the cold...but I think it would be cool. Just difficult to pull off right.

Could you imagine riding the train at night to look at Christmas displays in the woods? That would be so cool!!!

it'd be tricky I think, the colder it gets the less willing people will be to travel and also the fewer standard attractions the park would be able to offer.
I don't live in the area though so I'm not sure exactly how it'd play out. It seems the offerings would need to be increadibly strong and something that can't be found in a local lighting display or shopping mall. It'd be interesting to see what they could pull off though. Do other parks outside the big tourist spots like Disney do much for Christmas though?

^I agree with you on the weather - that would be the biggest problem in a lot of ways, but if they did it right (and I think they could) it could be a big hit. I do like the idea of the train ride through the decorated woods. With all those trees, they could make it look pretty amazing.
As for other parks, I know Wild Waves has announced they're going to be re-launching their Christmas event next year again. I never went before, so I don't know what it was like, but I might go check it out.

Carousel and Train would definitely be good. Suddenly realizing some form of slide and snowman building might be fun as well.
The train would probably be the best attraction for such an event.

I think it would be a success if they had a winter festival. People travel a long ways just to do the Santa Cruise at Lake Coeur d'alene. And with the new entrance it would be even more beautiful!

I love going to Knott's Berry Farm in southern california every December. I know, I know, it's not the same since we don't get winter. But you guys have some good ideas.
At Knott's admission is free for a few hours if you are only going to the Christmas village section of ghost town. It's very popular. Silverwood could make a lot selling hot cocoa, cider, and coffee.
Shows are a great way to pull people in, and a warm place to sit too. At Knott's, there is Snoopy on Ice (okay, maybe this one isn't warm), Gift of the Magi, and A Christmas Carol.
