Here's a small little update, the site posted this year's admission. Mostly everything is exactly the same as last year, except for a two-day general admission which went up by 2 bucks. Also, if you buy tickets online the prices are discounted.
Hopefully the 2011 schedule will be posted soon, it should be interesting to see how many dates Scarywood has for this year.

I'm surprised here it is February 1st and we still have not heard of any other new rides. Silverwood, is this seriously all you are giving us in 2011 - two new kiddie rides?

^ Looks like it, just the kiddie rides and the Topper Track for Tremors.
Once again, chances are the "more news" for attractions this year is about the Topper Track being installed on Tremors. I highly doubt there is any more attractions being put in this year, if there was something bigger being put in...the park would have already let us know.
Like I said earlier, I firmly expect any new major ride/coaster to be part of an expansion.

^I must confess I disagree. While I do concede that what has already been announced is probably all we're going to get, I don't think the "more news" is going to be the Topper Track for Tremors. That is more of an upgrade/maintenance fix as opposed to a new attraction. It won't require new trains or anything like that, so I don't think the park is going to make a big deal out of that, at least publicly. I could very well be wrong, but that's my take on it.
I think if we do see something else announced (and that's a pretty big IF at this point), I'm leaning towards what Screamscape guessed, and that is an addition to the waterpark. I also think they might throw in something else small (i.e. flat ride or small coaster), if they do announce something for the 'dry' park, but I doubt we'll see anything big.
And let's not forget Scarywood...I wouldn't be surprised at all to see a new attraction or two for that...maybe that's what they will announce.
One last thought: Although it wasn't quite into February, the park didn't officially announce Aftershock until the end of January in 2008, so if they decide to add something else smaller like a flat ride or water slide, they could still make an announcement this late. But I've always tried to be optimistic when it comes to these things...

I think the topper track is exactly what the "more news" will be. No offence to anybody here but it seems insane to me to think adding two kiddie attractions is dissapointing. At least they are adding. To think they are going to add something new and great every year is incredibly unrealistic.
And I have to be honest. I am WAY more excited to hear about the topper track than I was to hear they bought a GIB from Six Flags. The topper track is what is going to get me to make my first visit since '07 not the addition of Aftershock.

^I agree that it's unreasonable to expect a major addition every year, but this will be the third season in a row that will show no major additions to the park at all, other than the two kids rides. Aftershock was new in 08, and nothing was added to either the theme park or water park in 09 and 10. And no, I haven't forgotten about Scarywood, but I'm talking about the regular season. They even admit themselves that it's a different demographic they are targeting in October vs. the rest of the year.
I'm very excited about the topper track, too, but I think that it's people like us who are huge coaster fanatics that will get excited about something like that. I don't think it's something the general public is really going to go too crazy over or even care about. However, that's just my guess, and I could very well be wrong. If so, I stand corrected.

Being a father of two little kids I am glad they are adding rides for the little ones. The theme park needs to be for the whole family not just for the thrill seekers.
I do like the bigger rides but it makes me very happy to have rides I can enjoy with my little guys.

unfortunately. the kiddie rides were mainly a target at the family attraction however, my friend works for silverwood and she said these past two years were targetted at advertisements and adding to the parks scenery & signs. . . nothin big.
as for her opinion silverwoods not trying to duplicate in its size. it was along time to get another rollercoaster in there. . . tremors to aftershock. it might be a while before they add any signifcant coaster in there.

^Very interesting.
I can see that they were trying to target families with the two kiddie rides, and I think it's overall a move in the right direction. I guess I was just expecting something a little less..."off the shelf", for lack of a better term. Frog Hoppers are EVERYWHERE...like I said before, I've seen those things in video arcades and family fun centers. I thought they'd maybe shoot for something a little more unique, but it is certainly better than adding nothing.
I certainly don't expect the park to double in size over night, nor do I expect a massive new roller coaster every year, or even every couple years, so I agree with you completely that we may not see another large coaster for a while. But from the 2003 season through the 2008 season, either the theme park or water park got a pretty sizable addition each year, with the exception of 2005 (Boulder Beach itself in 03, Velocity Peak in 04, Panic Plunge in 06, Boulder Beach expansion in 07, and Aftershock in 08).
Now, we're looking at three straight seasons in a row with little to no additions. THAT is why I'm a bit disappointed.

Agree with skinnyguy. The park had a long stretch of adding major new attractions almost every year through 2008. No, I don't expect that to continue. But to go three years without something big or even "mid-sized" is a major disappointment, especially when the park keeps boasting about its "best year ever" and "highest attendance figures ever", etc.
I can take my 5 year old to the mall to ride a frog hopper. I don't need to make a return trip to Silverwood for that.
Topper track is great but it is not a new ride by any stretch.
I hope they still have an ace up their sleeve - even if just a new flat ride.
