Let's start the discussion: 2011 will mark 3 years since the last new ride in the park, Aftershock. I think it is about time Silverwood added another new ride, and if they don't, I think they will see their numbers during the regular season (not including Scarywood) slip. Of course I'm speculating. But 3 years in a row with no new rides is a long time for a park.
I don't suggest they add another massive coaster like Aftershock. But I have given some thought to what I think might "round out" the park nicely for 2011:
1) Mouse or spinning coaster. Relatively small, family-friendly, doesn't take up much space, always a big draw. And nothing like it at Silverwood.
2) Big flat ride. Something like a Giant Frisbee, Top Scan, Top Spin, etc. Something big and really wild that will draw as many spectators as it will riders.
3) Interactive Dark ride. I'm not sure how you'd theme this since Silverwood doesn't have much of a strong theme, but they are always fun, family-friendly, and re-rideable if done right.
4) Giant Ferris Wheel. Would provide some incredible views of the park and surrounding area.
5) Total revamp of Garfield's Summer Camp. Make it bigger, more elaborate, and add several new rides.
What do you think they should/will do for 2011?

Let's see now,
1) While SW doesn't have a mouse/spinning coaster, just about every other park (including Wild Waves) does. If they were to put in this type of coaster, I'd prefer it to be a custom spinning mouse or a Gerstlauer Bobsled. In all honesty, I would to see the park have a custom steel coaster...not an off-the-shelf model.
2) I got several words...S&S Giant Swing. After experiencing this at Valleyfair!, I can tell you that ride is a big crowd pleaser.
3) This is probably what's going in the park hopefully soon, after all we did get word from Nick Norton a couple years ago that the park is wanting a Interactive Dark Ride. I just hope it's a custom theme, or the Forbidden Island concept the Sally Corporation has come up with.
4) I don't see this one happening, not for a while.
5) Don't know how they're going to make it bigger, but the park does need more kiddie/family rides to help balance out the thrill rides that have been the "recent" additions to the park.
As I just said, the park needs to focus on family rides. Though with space, they will need to remove stuff or start expanding. I can imagine they'll need to add a new thing or two to Boulder Beach as well.
Now as for what they're doing for 2011, naturally we all don't know. However we should keep our eyes and ears open since most new additions to the park have been announced during this month.
If we don't hear a peep from the park, then I don't think we're getting anything major. (Which would lead to massive speculation for 2012) Not unless they surprise us, though for just about any big attraction...if they're getting one for 2011, they gotta' start things pretty soon.

An interactive darkride that could go with maybe a western theme would be awesome. Hopefully they could get the set quality matching what we've seen in Blood Bayou.
I saw someone did a Scarywood trip report on Theme Park review were they seemed to imply that there's a rumor about Corkscrew going away? I think that'd be a bit weird unless something more impressive took its place.
Big Flat Ride would be good too, really would take some consideration though, feels like they almost need to shuffle around a few of their current flat rides so that areas can be a bit more scenic.
I suppose I'm going to have to agree a bit on the Wild Mouse though I honestly haven't been on a Wild Mouse Coaster except the one at DCA. The more unique the better though.
I think Interactive darkride would be their biggest bet overall and then maybe a new flatride a year or two later.
I wish they could do some general enhancements on their theming and maybe shuffle a few rides around and put up items that establish a bit of backstory.
Whatever they add I hope its something that can be open for Scarywood, a real shame that Aftershock can't stay open for that event.

^ Looking at various factors, it wouldn't be weird removing Corkscrew. Especially considering it would open up a good chunk of space in Country Carnival, and that section of the park would be prime as a gateway into the airstrip for an expansion.
Now weather the rumor is true or not, well once again we'll just have to wait and see.

If I'm not mistaken it travels around Corkscrews supports in a few spots anyways. It definitly could form an expansion trail though, Would they tunnel under the train or do another crossing deal like what we see on Mainstreet? Seems like taking Corkscrew out for expansion would be a huge endeavor, might be cool to see though. I like Corkscrew's historical relavence but I suppose in alot of ways it does the least for the park now.

^ Maybe, maybe not. The antique car ride could be moved and given a new layout.
Probably another crossing.

I don't think SW has enough rides to get rid of Corkscrew yet. Maybe when they have a larger park they could consider it, but for now they neeed to be adding new rides, not taking anything out of the park.

With the park as it currently is, I can see it being a tricky task to put new rides in without removing something.
Eventually the park is going to have to expand out onto the airstrip, though if they decide to add a new ride or two to the park as it currently is...something's gotta' go in order for it to happen.

Sad but true, seems the airstrip has outlived its usefulness to the park. The park really does seem like it could use some more expansion overall. If they removed Corkscrew I'd want another coaster to take its place. Hope the park gets a darkride and that it can be more impressive then the Scooby Doo or Legoland stuff I've seen thrown into parks as of late. Park really feels like it could go through a year were they reoganize things to improve scenes while clearing out space for newer rides. I'd swear there's some sort of giant swinging ride I think would go well for the park but I can't remember what its called now.
