I flew over Silverwood and took the following pictures this morning. Getting closer. Closer. And Rollercoaster Alley! Next time I try to get better pictures. Jim

Very nice pictures, it's pretty neat seeing the park from that angle.
As for the clearing behind Aftershock, I have to agree with Styvx that it's probably an expansion for the picnic pavilion.
All I can say is it should be interesting when the park expands again, since it seems the only place they can go is where the runway is.

Thanks. Next time I fly over that way I will try to get better pictures. It's pretty neat seeing the railway from above.

Very nice photos.
It's always weird for me to see the park with snow on the ground - I'm only at the park during the summer months, so I often forget that it does indeed get really cold there during the winter!

And that is after a ton of it has melted off. I surprised they didn't have any damage this year after all the snow we got. To day it was sunny and in the sixties. I wish I would have gone flying today!

I flew over Silverwood again on Sunday. Here are a few shots. The first one you can see the coaster at the top of the lift on the Corkscrew. Here is Coaster Alley. The parking lot looks as big as the theme park! No crowds at Boulder Beach!

Your aerial pics are always great; thanks for sharing again.
Someday when my kids are older and I have more free time, I'm going to get a license to fly a small, private plane. It has been a life-goal of mine for some time now and I'd guess in the next 10 years or so I'll probably be able to move forward with it.

Thank you Bud. Let me know when you are ready to go after your license. I would be more than happy to share any info and answer any questions. You can always take a lesson every now and then and log it towards your license. It all counts! Also, if anyone else has any questions about flying please ask. I always regret that I didn't pursue flying at an early age.

looksl like theres still room for another ride or expansion just below aftershock in the pics before they start having to remove the airstrip. but i think theyll add more flats before expanding into the airstrip area. in otherwords no big expansions for a while.
