Silverwood would gain alot of attraction alone with later operating hours. 6pm on sundays ? come on really? silverwood is only open during the summer as it is. i think the earliest they should close any day of the week is midnight.
on that note silverwood should do a weekly 24 HOUR POWER. an all night session that doesnt allow entrance after 6 pm. once you leave you cant come back.
NOW that would be sick.

I'm going to be very blunt here, first off the times where Silverwood closes at 6pm is very early in the season and near the end where the park is not getting that many guests. Also, in May and September...kids are still in school and a lot of people have to go to work the next day, which is another incentive for the park to close early during that time of the season.
Now for June, July and August where it's the busy part of the season...the park is open much longer.
Also, closing at Midnight during the regular season won't happen. I've seen some parks try to close at that time, but those parks are no longer closing at midnight...or operating at all. It's far too costly and not very practical. Heck, not even big major theme parks in Flordia close at midnight. That should tell you something right there.
The only time any theme park is going to close at midnight or later is for a Halloween or New Years event, those are the only exceptions.
As for the 24 hour thing, unless you got enough money to pay everthing for the operations...it's just not happening.

that makes perfect sense. however silverwood closed everysingle sunday at 6 pm. and for the midnight thing i didnt realize it does take money to keep open that late... i know the may september schedule. just the simple fact that youd think with the more open hours the more people would show up at a later time which means more line waiting but not really.

That's what I was about to say. Magic Kingdom/Disneyland/Epcot all close around Midnight almost every night in the summer. Heck even second gates like California Adventure stay up till 10. They're more of an exception and experience high amounts of souvenir sales I don't think Silverwood could sustain. Universal in Hollywood doesn't really stay open beyond 8-9:00 due to filming and other issues. I'm not sure how the parks in Florida operate though. Six Flags parks keep hours not unlike Silverwood though. I think most of them close at 8:00-9:00 Lets also remember outside the expenses involved in staying up late that it gets pretty darn cold at night were Silverwood is located and with mostly outdoor attractions I'm betting most people start packing it in as the sun goes down. Scarywood is a weird exception and it works GREAT at night. I'm not sure about Fourth of July but they could certainly get away with later hours then if they can tie it to a special event of some sort.

I think that once the hotel gets built they will probably adjust the hours.
